My question is why she specifically had to be locked up. Why didn't it just control her too? What could she have done even if she wasn't locked up? I feel like somehow the state we see her in now is extremely nerfed, or she's been hiding some kind of power. She's literally the games namesake yet she seems to be the least powerful character in the entire facility

This scene to me really drove home the horror of this whole ordeal, imagine you're going about your day as normal, nothing going wrong and having a good time going about your day as usual and then next thing you know, you're co-workers are all getting torn apart, eaten, mauled etc by the very creatures that your superiors created. God I love Poppy Playtime now.

@@crystalprados3601 Is left clear in several instances, just like Poppy's dialogue right after this VHS, that many of the workers were innocent and had no idea what really was happening in the factory. They kill them all, from the scientist behind all the experiments to the janitor who did nothing but clean the first floor. Yes, the kids suffered a lot but most of the workers didn't ask to be victims of the crimes of their superiors either

Nice. I myself actually found there was 50 casualties on the factory room. With rough estimation we can say about around 200 casualties the Hour. That’s a lot done by like only 3-4 big monsters the rest being smaller

That's a fucking massacre right there. I bet Huggy was like "And so it begins...", and then they got a neural message saying "OK, monsters. It's time. The HOUR OF JOY is upon us. Kill them all. Make them suffer.", and then... Huggy Wuggy unfroze from his state, squeezed a few people until they popped and went on a rampage. Mommy Long Legs tore a guy in half and killed innocents. The Smiling Critters tried to fight the Hour of Joy, but fell, as their miniature counterparts overwhelmed a helpless man, eating him alive. Miss Delight and her sisters targeted everyone at the schoolhouse; nowhere was safe from them. Kissy Missy broke free from her restraints, and ended two people, before going after a third. Boxy Boo caused the bloodiest scene ever as he ate any person he saw, leaving no survivors. CatNap slaughtered everyone in Playcare, adult or child, guilty or innocent, male and female. And Poppy was trapped. Helpless. And all while this happened, the Prototype, the cause of all this, was sitting wherever he was, watching. *AND HE SMILED.*

Idk if that’s directly what this is, clearly the Prototype had some control of them, not to mention it’s stated the bigger toys have a more aggressive nature towards adults. Besides CatNap (and assuming Ms. Delight and her sisters killed any kids in the school), the toys are only seen killing adults, which makes sense they have a grudge against them

@@Error-kd4dq all the kids are safe according to ms delights tape where she asked catnap if the kids were alive and safe. and when asked if she could see then, catnap said no and ms delight explicitly said its because he knew she would kill them all. its very clear that most of the toys like her just completely lost it. catnap stayed true to the objective and focused on who to take out. however most of the others just went on killing rampages and murdered anyone they could, regardless of their innocence and involvement. even poppy had a comment on the hour of joy where it was supposed to be an act of revenge against those that tortured them and it just turned into mindless slaughter.

@@MasterOfTruck this is a good point, but I believe it’s also mentioned that the kids are with everyone else and “safe”. If that’s the case then wtv kids were there ended up being killed and dragged down to the depths to be eaten. And if the kids weren’t killed, where are they? And if they are safe what was protecting them from being hurt? If it was CatNap then they’re no longer safe, but even then I’m convinced he killed the kids bc in the vhs you can see him pick up a small wiggling mass (which once could assume is a kid) and throws it across the stairs, which tells me they really did lose it almost immediately after they started

seeing the toys kill the workers didnt disturbe me, I mean we all knew the toys were the reason for the factory to shut down, what disturbed me was how many people the toys killed, seeing all those bodies together in the same room got under my skin, this vhs tape is truly horror

I have a theory here. So when we saw Harley Sawyer and the Prototype talking with each other in Chapter 3 VHS tape, near the end, the Prototype started to sound a lot more like Sawyer. I think that all the Bigger Body Initiatives and other toys have some special directive programmed in them in which Sawyer is the highest order of them. Meaning that he has full control and authority over all the BBIs and other toys that were created by him. So two ways I can think is that either the Prototype copied his voice in which he killed Sawyer and took control of all the toys in the factory or the Prototype when he consumed Sawyer took all of his DNA in him (like how he's making all the toys part of him so he might also have powers of Mommy Longlegs, CatNap, and many others) and started the how Hour of Joy. Just a speculation here.

Also notice that every chapter has a different set of puzzles that you have to solve with the grabpack. All that learning might come to full use in the last chapter (chapter 4). Like during the Prototype boss fight (if we get one), we’re focused to do a number of puzzles but are only able to do them to succeed and get out of the factory. Like if there’s like a timed thing where the Prototype is suddenly vulnerable/stops attacking, the player can continue doing what they need to do to escape WHILE having to deal with the Prototype. But since the thing is practically like the most intelligent toy monster thing alive I think it might be extremely difficult. Chapter 4 will probably be like the ultimate boss fight - apart from the first three in the last chapters.

It would be a solid theory if we didn't already know Catnap worshipped the Prototype as a God and convinced the others to follow it or become another casualty. "THE PROTOTYPE WILL SAVE US."

I can pretty much imagine how devastated the MC to see all of his friends and the people he worked alongside to create toys for children. All shattered, all of them died in a terrible way. Watching that, it’s really sad, losing everyone and the purpose of working there, not knowing what they do underground. The sad tune in the end I think broke my heart

I was so stunned by this! It brought tears to my eyes!! I thought Kissy Missy didn’t harm a single soul during the hour of joy but she did! I thought she didn’t had a hand at slaughtering those playtime employees but she had! Not that I blame her of course. Those vhs tapes showed us how truly evil those playtime employees truly are! Especially Harley Sawyer! But then I hear that the toys slaughtered the innocents as well! So now idk what to think. Cause before I was thinking that the toys are the victims and the humans are the murderers but now they killed innocent people as well. Perhaps it’s because they are all adults and not children. Maybe so but now idk what to believe. Tbh, this was actually sad for me. And it made me even more sad for Poppy who was trapped and helpless through it all.

They most likely held the grudge of being turned into these mascot creatures, so that might be why they had planned to get revenge eventually, and all that rage and sadness turned for the worst even with Kissy. I also second ur theory that they could be adults, at least some of them, but maybe cuz I think the trope of "this entity has the soul of a kid" is too cliché and there aren't many confirmed dates of when were the subjects collected and when were they successfully transformed, could explain why there were thousands of experiments

Also who knows if Boxy Boo is still alive. It’s years later that the game takes place & some toys might of died killing each other or had a bad encounter with the prototype. Boxy’s corpse is apparently part of the statue of the Prototype Catnap made, but it’s unknown if there’s more then one Boxy Boo as there were 2 PJ Pug-a-Pillars & another Kissy Missy apart of the structure along with Mommy Long Legs & Huggy.

See this is what fnaf didn't have. I love the fnaf series i love all the characters. But this is dark, sad and gruesome. It makes me hate and love characters like huggy. Although catnap is kinda underwhelming for me but still awesome chapter.

Catnap was in the children's area, he killed the few adults who were in the Main area, but most of the adults would've been inside the school, where they got killed by Miss Delight and her sisters

But how? They all became “aware” at the same time but how? It’s like they all are connected through a network and they said “NOW!” And for their responses to be to kill everyone in sight immiediately... I did not expect this chapter to be this dark...

Chapter 3 felt different in a way. Idk how to explain it. The whole religious imagery was just scary idk why. Catnap was just a terrifying experience. You had no idea where he was lurking and when he stood on his hind legs to worship...that scared me more than the jumpscare and the jumpscare is pretty scary 💀And to think kids used to play poppy playtime.

Chapter 1 and 2 the areas were all nice and tidy, as if they were still being taken care of by the toys who lived there, chapter 3 is just constant destruction and the whole area is a mess. The areas of chapter 1 and 2 were also near the entrance of the facility, where hardly any toys lurked, and the few who did were far more relaxed than toys deeper down. Chapter 1 and 2: the public area of the facility, nice and clean, the toys lurking about are far more tame and tidy Chapter 3: deep down in the facility, torn apart and an absolute mess, a lot more toy residents who lack any sense of cleanliness

Cause it is the only way I could explain how there´s a kid in there, knowing that the hour of Joy was 10 years before the events of the game. Small theory: Ms. Delights face/body and her sisters. I think the reason there's no other teachers and why Ms Delight (the last one) was the last one. Was because she littlerly ate her own 'sisters'. This sounds fucked up but it says in a vhs. They fought eachother to the death, she was the last. When she had no more flesh to eat. She started eating her own skin. She started eating her own hair and at one point, ate her own face. She is still hungry.

In her area there are notes in which she reports that she and the other teachers were locked inside the school (the main door of the school was closed after the happy hour ended). Eventually they ran out of food, so the other teachers isolated her and ate the bodies of the victims, leaving her starving. Miss Delight pretended to be dead by staying completely still and then devoured the teachers who came out and were unprepared, killing them all. She writes that after a while the main door opened and there she learned that it was Catnap who locked them up to die (at least she thinks it was him) and he proposed the deal of helping each other by providing information in exchange for food if I remember. correctly. She also mentions that there was a time when someone knocked on the door, and when they asked who it was, they only heard a breath in response and nothing more. That made me think of kissy missy, but it could also be CatNap, checking to see if they were still alive. It was at this moment that she created the weapon that she uses and calls Barb, all to combat whatever might enter and also to combat loneliness once she was isolated.

this is one of the best vhs Tapes the game has so far. not to mention the awesome cameo by boxy boo too outside of Project playtime.

When the footage then shows the absurd amount of dead bodies in the areas gave me the chills. A lot of people really died, and it's sad to think that most of them are just innocents that did nothing wrong

Mommy's attack was so brutal. Who would have thought that they would tear off the body or fall to their death all together? holy shit

This is so dark! Just seeing the massacre unfold on the VHS. Seeing all the bodies of the employees on the floor was absolutely horrifying to see. I actually don't think I've been as horrified from a game than watching this tape. The nearly two-year wait was so worth it for this chapter.

Honestly that is quite horrifying, out of all the VHS this is easily the scariest, it's completely silent but the imagery just makes it scary. This game proves alot, that mascot horror can be fucked up. More fucked up than Fnaf. This really made me so scared and traumatized that i cried when i first saw it. Everything about it is terrifying. Huggy waking up with no warning and just eat people. Mommy just grabs a group and breaks one in half and drops 2 to the floor to there deaths. A guy gets jumped and eaten alive by small critters. The worst death or the kost disturbing to me, a person getting chased by at least 8 Ms. Delight's into a room 0:38 . Kissy killing 3. Boxy just chomping on a few guys in a hallway. Catnap walking around making sure everyones dead. And finally, the worst 4 shots ive ever seen. What a good and terrifying franchise.

Analyzing the footage, each scene was in chronological order, most of the killing happening after Huggy caused the first strike. But I do suspect that there were certain toys that tried helping the humans escape or fight against the other toys, but most of them likely died or was imprisoned. The Hour of Joy seems to have been planned by few toys, but not all of them did agree.

I think it's pretty safe to assume that all puppets started attacking at the same time. I highly doubt all the other puppets waited specifically for Huggy to make the first strike, that just doesn't make any sense. It's simply the first bit of footage we see, but it's safe to say chaos was starting everywhere in the facility at that same time.

If there was one thing I could compare the Hour of Joy to, it would be the Holocaust during World War II. Both have one thing in common, and that was genocide. The analogy: The Prototype = Adolf Hitler The other toys = Nazi soldiers under Hitler's command The factory workers = The Jews who were persecuted by the Nazis during the Holocaust

Ladies and gentlemen, finally after 2 years, we have our answer: The massacre at the Playtime Co and playcare

There are no words to describe this, I’m always silent when re-watching this. Just imagine being in that factory as it all kicked off. That employee that was being chased by miss delight was all on their own and they presumably got cornered In the room they went in leaving their fate sealed.

Mob entertainment did well redeeming themselves with this chapter. While I do think that there were way too many puzzles, the storyline and the reveals are what made it interesting. The cliffhanger ending left me hooked as well. Can't wait to know what happened to Kissy Missy.

I like how each experiment have his own way of killing the workers Huggy Wuggy bites the heads Mommy Long Legs catches them and then drops them the smilling critters attack in groups like the Compsognathus from Jurassic Park The miss Delight just chases the workers as the one who chases us in the game, just in group like a lot of clones kissy missy slams them hard to the ground Boxy Boo bites, riping off limbs, leaving only torso or corpses without legs/arms and Catnap acts like a hunting cat in his walk, even spitting out one of the corpses as if it were a ball of hair

This was incredibly terrifying and sad what was experienced on that 8/8/95, and even more so what happened after, it was a horrible massacre, combined with a mass genocide where almost no one survives, as if it were order 66
