Well...Catnap was kinda dissapointing I mean, they keep telling you he's really evil and really bad, you hear him talk almost at the end of the chapter, you escape from him, fight him and then he dies He didn't really have much of a presence in the chapter and it felt very lacking

i do somewhat understand where you're coming from in regards to catnap not being fully present until the end. however, you have to keep in mind that him not having much of a presence until the end is, quite literally, the point. the general gist of his character is that he stalks his victims, waiting until they're vulnerable to attack. this is explicitly stated in the chapter, and even if it wasn't you could probably come to this conclusion on your own given he's a cat and cats tend to stalk their prey and strike when they are vulnerable, as well as analyzing his behavior in the game. if he was more present in the chapter similarly to mommy, it really... wouldn't make sense. there is a difference between mommy and catnaps characters and their role in the game/plot. mommy is somewhat of a guide in chapter 2, guiding the player throughout the game station and giving them a piece of the train code when they complete a game. she has somewhat of a motherly role in a sense, which makes sense given that's what she is generally perceived as and is supposed to be. if she, like catnap, wasn't fully present until the end with characters just telling you she's there, it wouldn't make sense because it doesn't mix well with what the developers intended for her character and role in the plot. the same can be said for catnap, if he was constantly present like mommy was in chapter 2 it wouldn't make sense because that also doesn't mix well with what his character is supposed to be. it really wouldn't make sense and it would be poor writing. another possible cause for catnap not being fully present until the end could also be to build suspense. if you are going into chapter 3 blind and having little to no knowledge on what's gonna occur, the other characters telling you about him being a threat as well as stalking the player builds suspense, it is supposed to make the player think that he could strike at any time. you can still see catnap before the boss fight near the end of the chapter, you see him at the beginning and you can see him moving around in the chapter at times assuming the player notices it, which really isn't that hard to notice in my opinion but i can't speak for everyone who played or watched gameplay footage of chapter 3. this is supposed to make the player feel wary and build suspense, which works really well if you haven't seen or played chapter 3 before, or have little knowledge on the events of chapter 3. i also want to mention that despite him not being an active threat in the chapter, the other enemies in the chapter fill this role so it's not completely uneventful until the catnap boss fight. TL;DR catnap not being more present in the chapter makes sense for his character and the characters telling you he's a danger and catching glimpses of him stalking you builds suspense for the chapter. if he was more present like mommy was, it would be a very poor writing choice and would make no sense.

Nope, this chapter is more on STORY and the storyline is very predictable and genetic like the back-story of the co-workers of the MC(which is so obvious), the monsters are also underwhelming compare from the chapter 2. but i guess the ending explains it all that it wasnt finished yet. just like how the chapter 1 gameplay is shorter than chapter 2.

We see that the tape from poppy playtime chapter 1 takes place in 1991, and if everyone had disappeared for 10 years, we can assume that Poppy Playtime takes place in the early 2000's, But more specifically 2001.
