There are two possible explanations for the Prototype bringing Theodore to Thomas’ office that could still let the him be mostly malicious: 1: His humanity only kicked in at that specific instance. 2: He suspected that Theodore would become an experiment candidate due to his condition (which is very much possible due to his intelligence) and thus he would become a powerful ally that would help the Prototype kill all of the people that kept him trapped in the factory, which could’ve been much more enticing to him than just simply leaving. (Though a problem with this is that creatures that are already dead are probably still able to be turned into toys, due to Poppy and the Experiment 814 note) One of main reasons I doubt the Prototype has the purest of hearts is because he helps feed the toys in the pits in Project Playtime, instead of just putting them out of their misery.

Toche! But on your last point, I think they have ( like most things ) want to survive. Even if they’re depressed or they hate their body ( if they have enough sentience ) they probably would do the “thing” instead of 1006 But still, I don’t think he wants more toys, so changing Theo to a toy would be against his character. He only adds the dead, those who can still help. And for Maybe she was so scared of death, she was panicking ( half of her was in a meat grinder ) and she was a child so, who knows? Maybe she thought it would hurt

@@Obi-wan_kenobi128 But Mommy was expecting to be added to his body, there would be no reason for that unless he’s done the same to other toys before her. In fact, I’m pretty sure that Mommy was giving Bunzo’s and the mini Huggies’ bodies to the Prototype. After we complete Wack-a-Wuggy, Bunzo’s body in the Mommy’s webs are gone. After we complete Statues and kill Mommy, the same happens to the Huggies. My point was it was kind of strange to literally rip out of the flesh of the corpses of the creatures that you’re supposedly trying to protect, and using said flesh for your own gain, which is literally the same exact thing the scientists were doing. Also, if Poppy wants to set things right, then that probably means that the Prototype _isn’t_ doing that.

I love that the incident with Theo puts gasoline on the fire that is the theory that the Prototype is Elliot while Poppy is his daughter. The Prototype going parental mode on these kids who expected parents but ended up with their horrifying fates.

Gonna be honest, I’m both scared and hyped for Chapter 3 that’s gonna release in the next couple of weeks. For starters, we know it’s not just Catnap, but every one of the group. We don’t know what they all do which scares me even more. Especially how much more gore is shown unlike others chapters. They are really leaning on the cruel and sadistic side of Humanity if the Orphan Experiments are true. Even FNaF and Bendy doesn’t have this much cruelty. Edit: Also in the VHS Tape of the Smiling Critters; it shows that Catnap stretched its tail from the moon. Perhaps that’s it’s other ability, the ability to stretch?

Honestly the lore is kinda..meh. I don’t mean the gore and cruelty, the lore in that way is good, but I mean it’s just another “haunted mascots” type of lore, so I’m not really interested in it. If the gameplay is the same as chapter 1 and 2, this chapter is gonna be a let down imo, BUT if they lean into the horror aspect and include less minigames/fetch quests this chapter is easily gonna be the best.

One important thig to consider: Leith Pierre 's report said that the incident involving Theo and the Prototype happened around 1989. That means the Bigger Bodies Initiative must have started around that year or a bit earlier, considering the Prototype already existed.

If you look closely, you can that CatNap's pendent is swinging as he lays on the top bunk bed. A nice little detail that shows that his pendent is like a collar.

One thing that seems to be rather noticeable at this point is how we know the experiment numbers of every major 'living toy' in the plot so far, including 1006...but the sole exception is Poppy herself. There's been zero mention of her in any of the lore beyond the first level video, the freaky 'repair' video, and direct confirmation from MOB themselves that the Poppy we encounter was the very first. I wonder why that is...

So from Leith Pierre's message, he confirmed that the prototype wasn't always this mysterious, outcasted toy pulling strings from the shadows. He was intergrated with the other toys whether for experiments or for the sake of children. Either way, that fascinates me

If we are to believe the smiling critters like Bobby bearhug crawling around the halls are surveying the area for catnap that would be very interesting. Catnap is most definitely pretty big like beading white eyes and seeing the moon charm swinging around. Who knows if all the smiling critters will help catnap or if some of them betrayed him and the prototype who became part of that stitched up being. Those ARG documents pretty much confirmed that playtime co saw Theodore as a troublesome kid who would make more trouble so he was listed to become catnap and that’s wha happened. He remembers that the prototype saved his life which is very interesting that it does care for the children and even in his new body he’s very obedient to 1006.

I definitely think the smiling critters is a cult. The other animals obey CatNap because he's the only one that can give them what they need.

I hope that bobby bearhug and the other smiling critters will appear and help us in this chapter. edit : Welp, we saw none of them, because the ones we did see were just dolls of the critters, the only one we did see was dogday, and he die rather quickly, he did give us some helpful info though, justice for dogday!

I want them to help

So I saw the CCTV footage yesterday with someone else analyzing it as it was recommedned to me. With CatNap, you have to look closely at the video. He is not stretched all the way out, instead he is actually on the ceiling with his head turned around to stare straight at the camera. Yes it is dark, but you have to look closely to also see his crescent moon swinging back n forth and also his tail moving in a cat-like behavior.

Hi there. I have a some thoughts and a couple of questions on this. My first question is do the smiling critters look like the plush toys? (Meaning are they fuzzy) Second question is what if that’s not the moon medallion swinging, but a gas mask?

Chapter 1 and 2 compared to the likes of 3 is like Security Breach to Tales, it just feels surreal lol.

The thing I love about poppy playtime is that it embodies everything that I love about children themed things (like toys and cartoons) and turns them into a absolutely horrifying concept, for example it’s not afraid to get bloody and gory (evidence from mommy long legs death), and it’s somehow also feels like the story keeps getting scarier and darker and I love it 🤩.

I get the feeling that since they’re mass releasing teasers, most likely might release the chapter soon. Nice.

Catnap's eyes in the footage gave me chills.

If the theory that the player character was one of the kids is true then the Prototype could be an ally if they are Elliot. It could result in the player finding out the Prototype protected them and helped them escape as a child. It could also lead to a big twist that Catnap would recognize the player as another kid and instead of being a big threat like it's been built up as he would be an ally.

The Prototype cares more about children than its own freedom. Did anyone else notice Catnap’s swinging moon charm?

Ok, I love and hate the size difference between Cat Nap and the other Critters; it really shows the power imbalance and just how intimidating he's gonna be as an enemy, this chapter is gonna be so interesting!

With the prototype being integrated with the other toys might make a little sense if those toys have the souls of children. With the theory being that the prototype is Elliot Ludwig, it may have caused the kids souls in the new bodies to be docile knowing someone who did care about them was around, so it was possibly they knew no one would harm them.

Knowing how they’re gonna focus more on horror with this game I just KNOW when we finally see catnap he’ll more then likely look like an amalgamation between mr widemouth and the Cheshire Cat ; the fact it has retractable claws , can comfort itself to a 1/3rd of its size and what I don’t see talked about enough which is both it’s head and tail being prehensile ; meaning catnap can probably move through spaces much smaller and out of reach then we would have anticipated. he probably won’t literally look like the smiling friends toy version but we’ll probably looked like a warped version of it once compressed

I have a question. If Ludwig (the prototype) really is trying to save the toys (children experiments), even if it means making the toys part of him, then why would they be afraid of Ludwig? Remember how mommy long legs said “What have you done?! He’ll make me part of him!” It sounds like they are afraid of him.

Other than his face they haven’t shown much of Catnaps in game design yet they must be saving it for the gameplay trailer

I like the idea of you obtaining a device that recognises smells (considering we haven't invented 'smellavision' yet), which would show a picture of a rose indicating that the teddy toy is nearby, and the same for the other toys. Or similar, you hear the sound of the scent/gas or alarm indicating there is a sudden presence of gas, and have to run over one of these panels that are scattered over the map which would then show on screen what type of scent/gas it is. And that each of these toys have different ways that you need to avoid them.

Substance: no. 26 [Catnap Gas] Appearance: Catnap gas appears to be a crimson red gas. Effects and basic info: In small amounts, Catnap gas induces a state of happiness, followed after a state of deep sleep after [REDACTED] minute(s). In larger amounts, Catnap gas will cause a state of mass laughing hysteria, followed by the subject falling into a death sleep, where the subject’s bodily functions will slowly shut down, leading to the death of the subject. The effect takes an average of [REDACTED] minute(s). The gas cannot enter the lungs by any other means other than via basic respiratory systems, so a basic gas mask can filter out the gas. The way I see it is that there are likely going to be multiple smiling friends toys (remember it’s a franchise so lots of duplicates) and they all serve as eyes and ears for Catnap making them just as dangerous. It’ll almost be like a hive and they all serve their leader Also they will likely have varying abilities based on their descriptions (like the bunny being fast or the bear clinging to you and slowing you down)

That’s true but at the same time it’s also heavily implied that one or at least 2 will help us being daydog since he’s the opposite of catnap and maybe the unicorn or the bear

This got me thinking that Bobby Bearhug is one of the survivors who will possibly help Poppy and the Player.

I’m suspicious the prototype didn’t really save Theo. I’m thinking the prototype instead of hitting the charge pad purposefully hit Theo. I can’t see how he shocked himself when the green hand always swings right back into place. Plus the guide tape for it only warns about moving quickly enough against its timer, but not electrocution, not even saying it can bounce off walls and hit you if aimed incorrectly. Maybe I’m simultaneously under and overthinking the game mechanic but idk I think the prototype was spending his time as an “imaginary friend” actually just priming Theo to be his perfect right hand man to lead the other toys in building him a body, getting himself caught on purpose to “save” Theo and get him to the next stage of being an better, stronger soldier as Cat Nap, already loyal to him because “the original saved me” 👀 I THINK Cat Nap is a manipulated, mutilated child soldier and the prototype is a lot darker of a mastermind than we’re being led to believe. IDK THO MAN NONE OF US DO LOL

if you look at prototype 1006's arm you will see human bones. just saying, that would mean that prototype was once human, (maybe that was the cause of the escape attempt and saving of the child)

My dog Jax past away Thursday and this video made me feel better.

I think how Bobby BearHug is going to play out is she will be a reluctant patroller who doesn’t like finding toys and reporting them to CatNap so she lies about finding the player so they can be safe.

what if the player is a scientist that left after the new higher ups started experimenting on the kids because they didn’t like that and 1006 notices it and asks you for help to save them? and another thing i wanna know is how did they get the kids to sleep before catnap was made if he has the gas?

I would really want to know how poppy ties into all this because she's the main character but hardly ever shows up I wonder if poppy is like the prototype or not... Also its very interesting how catnap follows the prototype around like a puppy and it doesen't seem to mind. Cant wait to play this game.

Notice how there are 8 beds in children room like 8 critters was Theo the one who always calmed them down when kids couldn't sleep out of fear and then when he got taken away they tried smth and got turned into other critters being thankful to him and thus worshipping him.

Since we're going off the idea that the adults dont remember their past life and 006 is Elliot Ludwig, it could be that they first made him see that turning the child into dolls is a good thing, sense they would be his only source of knowledge. But maybe he starts to realize what they're doing was wrong. This could be why they allowed the factory to help the other children, and why we're being told that he tried to help Theo escape. Maybe he came to that conclusion because the kids remember there past life and telling him.

There's something that's puzzling me after looking into the presumed story about Theodore & the 1188/Catnap experiment. So we know that as a human, Theo was following orders from Experiment 1006/The Prototype. And on Leith Pierre's note, he stated that 1188/Catnap follows 1006/The Prototype. It's as if Theo remembers his past life as a human child before the procedure of becoming 1188/Catnap (If that's true of course). So the question is, how does Theodore remember The Prototype before & after becoming Catnap while Thomas Clark, an employee at Playtime Co. before receiving terminal lung cancer, doesn't even remember his human life when he became 1199/Bron?

Man, I don't even particularly *like* Poppy Playtime, but your videos are so entrancing and entertaining that I can't help but watch all of them! Honestly, I might enjoy your videos on Poppy Playtime more than the actual game itself! (Not to insult the game, of course. It's very well made, just not my cup of tea).

What’s interesting is that you said that the prototype was integrated in the everyday lives of the other experiments, but in poppy playtime chapter 2, mommy sounds terrified of the prototype. Screaming that “he’ll make me a part of him.” So there must have been something that made mommy afraid of the prototype.

I'm happy that PPT is staying as a scary horror game and not caving to the younger audience like FNAF has. (The Ruin DLC brought back more creepy and scary elements and the new VR game looks scary so they might be fixing that.) I love FNAF still, but it feels good seeing a mascot horror game stick to its horror roots for a teenage and adult audience like FNAF used to be

I believe that the Prototype used his presents out and about to plant the seed's for the Toy uprising also known as the Hour of Joy, it would make sense since the staff would now have no real reason to question why the Prototype is talking to the toy's

Something tells me that a gameplay trailer will most likely be released soon

So the Prototype cared for the kid that most likely became Catnap, giving up his escape in the hopes of saving the child. And Catnap still follows the Prototype 'like a lost puppy'... That is definitely food for thought.

The weird thing I find about this is that this is the only escape attempt by the prototype we're aware of and the whole site has been abandoned since the toys killed everyone. Surely after that event the prototype was free to leave if he wanted? I'm wondering what changed (or if it was indeed an escape attempt) and I'm thinking more about the dark religious elements being brought in now. With the introduction of Catnap, who talks like he's some holy disciple (and who is likely this child that got hurt), I'm getting a dark messiah vibe from the prototype's character. Add to that the huge terror Mommy Long Legs had at being made 'part of him' and I think the prototype and Catnip are working towards some kind of horrific end that's more than just grafting all the toys onto him (possibly they remain conscious?). A kind of salvation that's apparently more horrific than anything else down there, but they don't seem to want to leave at all. I also love how all of the stuff coming out is taking our minds off of Poppy. We still don't know to what extent she's a victim/perpetrator of anything that's happened. All we really know is she prevented us from leaving because we're "perfect" for something. It would be a weird thing to say if she meant we were the perfect one to save everybody. It sounds more like we're perfect for a specific use, whether cause we're just an adult human or worked there etc.

I just have 1 question, if The Prototype is indeed Elliot Ludwig, rhen why is Mommy Long Legs (Marie Payne, a child) so terrified of him? I mean, does she consider him to be the actual villain of the story? Idk, seems kinda odd to me

Maybe she's only ever seen the Prototype collect toy corpses, unknowing of his intentions and just assumed it was malicious

She is not a child, but a 23 year old female employee as seen in the notes found in Chapter 2. This is gross misinformation about Marie being an orphan child is being spread by pedos in the community, along with toxic fans.

What if the other smiling critters are being controlled by catnap while dogday is trapped somewhere and we need to save him to defeat catnap

The Smiling Critters will probably patrol the Playcare and CatNap probably became bitter at seeing what was happening to the children and became enraged. The Prototype must have broken him out of confinement to exact revenge on the people that caused all that pain to himself and the children.

Did anyone else feel like Catnap was staring directly into there souls or was it just me? That thing is a frecking sleep paralysis demon.

I wonder if some of the smiling critters will act as guides/helpers while other act as enemies and obstacles, also if hoping we see kissy missy and even prototype and poppy.

Confirms that we will see at least a few more of the Smiling Critters than just the Bigger Body CatNap. Also that CatNap is horrifying and makes you hold your breath until it ends.

The Elliot Ludwig is the prototype theory is nice, but I'm scared that it's another red hering. Originally, before chapter 2 came out, everyone assumed Stella was poppy, but now we know she isn't. I'm scared we're assuming too fast with little evidence. Plus, in the last year, we have gotten a lot of confirmation of theories. The recent arg has been basically telling us everything. This concerns me. To me, I think that Mob Games are releasing a lot of info for one of three reasons. 1. They want to keep their audience engaged. 2. It's a red hering. 3. They want to set the basic lore straight before they release something huge or game changing. These are just my thoughts.

Given how the Smiling Critters VHS ended, I kind of have the headcanon that Catnap isn't capable of sleep themselves - after all, they're needed to put others to sleep so sleeping themselves would mean they would be unavailable for a while each day. That could even be what twisted them, being unable to sleep but still needing it in some way... or even if they didn't there'd be long periods where Catnap would be alone. Idk.

Wooaaaaaahhh.... that footage at the end is freaky. Some players weren't sticking around or looking back, so it's terrifying to see Mommy Long Legs poppin out and chasing behind the employee.

Hello there I want to tell you I have been on your channel for a long time and I hope you will have a great day :)

There are two possible explanations for the Prototype bringing Theodore to Thomas’ office that could still let the him be mostly malicious: 1: His humanity only kicked in at that specific instance. 2: He suspected that Theodore would become an experiment candidate due to his condition (which is very much possible due to his intelligence) and thus he would become a powerful ally that would help the Prototype kill all of the people that kept him trapped in the factory, which could’ve been much more enticing to him than just simply leaving. (Though a problem with this is that creatures that are already dead are probably still able to be turned into toys, due to Poppy and the Experiment 814 note) One of main reasons I doubt the Prototype has the purest of hearts is because he helps feed the toys in the pits in Project Playtime, instead of just putting them out of their misery.

It amazes me how something so simple as two white eyes shining in the darkness can be so scary.

From what it seems, I think we may get some lore about some of the other Bigger Bodies toys being integrated into the factory’s Playcare and could get some lore about when it was created, along with documents describing the experimental procedures done with the “Cat Sleep” gas and how it has affected the other experiments. I speak of this bc of that cartoon Mob Cross published not too long ago, and that you said that this has may have some addictive properties from the reactions of the Smiling Friends. This, we could have some instances to where Cat Nap may have some toys under his control and we might get chased by them. Still, this is just a theory, but I think it’s worth noting the gas and its properties
