Every time I watch Poppin John, it feels like I'm watching something I've never seen before. He is so, so clean. I often waste hours a day watching popping battles on KZread and no one touches Poppin John. One thing's for sure, "World of Dance" got it wrong with Poppin John. He is the best dancer in world and he deserved the $1 million prize. It hurts to think about it. I'm not knocking any of the winners in past seasons but World of Dance got it wrong. Period.

Dancers the world over will watch his videos and try to replicate his movements. No one, no matter how gifted, has been able to match Poppin John's fine motor skills. Every part of his body liquifies skeletal movement. Even his shoes defy gravity. Poppin John's transitions are seamless. Other dancers snap back into their own bodies between moves. Their feet become dead weight. I challenge you. Watch other popping battles and then come back to Poppin John. He paints masterpieces while others draw stick figures. I respect all dancers. I respect Derek Hough and Misty Copeland. They too are masters of their art. The difference is that Poppin John is singular. No one can do what he does. There was popping before Poppin John and popping after Poppin John and they were not the same.

I've thought about AGT too. I'm sure Poppin John would advance to the later rounds but I don't think he would win. No dancer has ever won AGT. You put a singer next to a dancer, the singer wins every time. It's not fair but that's how it is. The first few AGT episodes are always entertaining but towards the end the acts become predictable. You have the singers, the magicians, and the comedians. I get bored. What would Poppin John do to make each act "better" than the last when he already has perfected his craft? I would rather see Poppin John go back to "World of Dance" and show those judges who's boss. No freestyling. The judges, rightly or wrongly, want to see stories and something they've never seen before. I believe Poppin John could do it. Let's say that he would have to dance 8 times total to win the $1 million. Start choreographing each dance now and then improvise as needed. Poppin John is a perfect dancer. He's got to do it.

I just turned 57, and I'm reliving my college days (early 80's) vicariously through this dude. The mind says I can still do it, but the body says NOPE lol.

Poppin John always coming in with the moves, the music and as I've commented before, the best backdrops. Always finding the right place to add fluidity with everything going on. Love it
