Welcome back to the American Falls Farm Timelapse. In the world of sustainable agriculture, the poplar harvest is an essential part of renewable energy production. This season, we’re leveraging the advanced capabilities of our new JOHN DEERE 9800 forage harvester to bring efficiency and precision to the task.
The process begins in the field, where the JOHN DEERE 9800 expertly cuts and chops the poplar. The machine's robust design ensures a clean and swift harvest, minimizing waste and maximizing output. Once the poplar is processed into manageable wood chips, we load them onto truck trailers for transport.
These trailers make their way to our processing facility. Here, the transformation from wood chips to wood pellets takes place. The process is meticulously controlled, utilizing water and molasses to bind the chips and enhance the quality of the pellets. This combination ensures that our wood pellets are not only efficient but also environmentally friendly.
Post-harvest, the forage harvester is returned to the yard for maintenance and preparation for the next cycle. The final leg of our journey involves loading the finished wood pellets onto trucks and delivering them to their points of sale.
