The level of heat will depend on your power supply. You keep trying until you get the perfect level of heat.

Yes, it is uses electricity. You can get it where they sell packaging things or kitchen gadgets. Make sure you buy the one that has transformer. When you check the carton, it will be indicated that it comes with transformer. That is the one that will last long.
