Aurora Aksnes, 27 from Norway. She started forming melodies at age 6 with words coming in English around age 9. Singer-songwriter, producer, dancer and musician. Aurora has been touring the world since she was 17 or 18. Her global fan base are collectively known as Warriors and Weirdos. We're hoping she'll release her new album soon. Hope you explore more from this multi talented Artist. She excels in live performances. Thanks

The song went viral in 2021 when it was 6 years old, because it was used in a TikTok meme, which is probably where you heard the famous part. If you saw the Disney movie Frozen 2, you have also heard her without knowing, she is the mysterious voice calling to Elsa. Aurora has released 3 albums and 2 EPs, and the 4th album is on the way within the next 6 months probably, no release date yet but 2 singles released from it already. You should definitely watch Aurora singing live, watch Runaway again privately (or reaction) live at the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert, and also Murder Song from the same concert.

I absolutely agree with all your suggestions, but let me just precise one thing : Scarborough Fair is not exactly a cover of Simon & Garfunkel, its a traditional english song dating at least from the 17th century - with other lyrics at this time. ;-) Moreover, il has been interpreted by Aurora for a brazilian tv series from 2019, and fits perfectly the medieval atmosphere :-)

Congratulations, you've just discovered "Aurora's Rabbit Hole". You will discover an amazing musician, songwriter, producer and beautiful soul. There is no doubt that Aurora has made a big impression on many people's lives and has helped many with her lyrics, melodies and her fantastic soul. You are at the beginning of discovering a special artist. You will receive so many suggestions here in your comments that I won't even start with that. Watch some of her interviews and get to know her. Watch some of her many music videos and dive into her music and finally watch some of her live performances to see how she interacts with her fans. You will discover that you are dealing with a fantastic person called Aurora Aksnes from Norway.

Like others already said her live performances are fantastic. I would suggest It happened quiet - Live at the Current if you want to get to know more of her vocal side or Gentle Earthquakes - Live at KEXP to get to know more of her weirdo side (the good kind of weirdo).

Yea. She is worth to check. She has like a ton of great song with good variation in her music. She is also very expressive live performer. She wrote this song in the age of 11 (even before she become an Artist). The story how she become artist is also very interesting :). Of course I would love to see more Aurora reactions from you (it was very cool reaction) :). I would recommend song she partialy wrote when was 9 and finished it a little latter: Lucky live from Nidarosdomen buy you can not go wrong with her music even if you would just pick random song :). She is great.

For your own sake, try listen to the whole concert from Nidarosdomen (the Nidaros Cathedral) - might be one of the best concerts ever… while I wait to attend her concert next week - you may also get to know that Billie Eilish have said something in the line of that Aurora inspired her to become an artist herself…

This song, like her others, is well crafted and each element of this music video is beautiful. But honestly, until you watch one of her live performances, you just don't know her true face as a singer. In exemple, I would suggest you to check out privately, as I guess you may not want to react to it: AURORA - RUNAWAY - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert: kzread.info/dash/bejne/eJdrurmQj6jOkps.html and to compare: AURORA - Runaway at 101.9 KINK | PNC Live Studio Session (2022): kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZpaW17RmodGsnMo.html She's very creative, and her musical palette is very wide. She sometimes reinterprets, a bit or completely, her songs, most of the time in specific concerts or live sessions (pace, mood, instrumentation...). And she's far to stick to one genre of music. All that makes her even more interesting. If you want to dig a bit more her music, I would recommend ( to begin with?😀) the other original song she sang at the first big stage, early in her career, as a singing story teller: AURORA - MURDER SONG (5,4,3,2,1) - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qJxktbmNhtq-qNo.html Magnus and Odd Martin were respectively her drummer and her guitarist at that time, and coproduced her songs with her, as she wanted to be deeply involved in the final result, as stated in interviews and documentaries. 2mn30s is absurdely short for a song, indeed. Anyway, thanks for this nice reaction.🙂👍

As brilliant as her official videos are, the very best of Aurora is live. In live performances, her fantastic lyrics shine and her captivating stage presence is utterly mesmerising. The standouts are her astonishing performance at the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize concert, her masterpiece Nidarosdomen (Trondheim Cathedral) concert from 2017 and the pure musical magic of her HAIK concert from 2019 (filmed as part of a documentary, in front of a small audience of fans and her parents in the forest where Aurora played in her childhood). There are many other videos of Aurora's small concerts and her performances in concerts and festivals in Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australia. Aurora also posts snippets on Tik Tok from her apartment. As well as her amazing musical abilities, she has a sensational personality and a wicked sense of humour, which are highlighted in her interviews and Tik Tok posts. As well as her own compositions, Aurora covers an eclectic range of the works of other artists (Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, the Beatles, Oasis, Nat King Cole and others). Following Aurora's musical journey is one of the best experiences one can have, the testament to this is her large, growing, devoted fan base. Please, please do more Aurora reactions. As a potential bribe, here are two gems 1/ A simple acoustic version of "Dance On The Moon" from a streamed performance during the covid lockdown (kzread.info/dash/bejne/nJt3r8N_adCrdqw.html), 2/ Aurora bantering with her audience, then delivering an off the cuff acapella rendition of Nat King Cole's "Nature Boy" after it was requested by an audience member ( kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y2GA1qWbgLjVhLA.html). I hope you can find the time to watch and enjoy them.

Aurora is amazing! I suggest both of her performances at the Nobel peace prize concerts...this song and Murder Song [1,2,3,4,5] I would also highly recommend a few other artists. Firstly Diana Ankudinova is a young Russian vocalist who has the most amazing unique captivating chill inducing voice on the planet....there is no one like her. Recommend (from her KZread page) her cover of Can't Help Falling in Love....use a mask and pause to avoid a copyright strike. Secondly...Eivor...has an amazing range of genres, but I suggest her song The Last Kingdom. Live at Hammersmith Apollo. Lastly I would suggest Heilung...they are amazing and have a huge following worldwide. I would suggest LIFA - In Maidjan live, as well as their official video for Anuana. Thanks for your reaction to Aurora, and goof luck

why is there always a need to compare to someone else? It seems to diminish the artist you are listening to.

I don't think she's folky polky, I think she's an incredible artist, i think your opinion is hot garbage, i hope you improve. Do not compare her to other people, so disrespectful. You should feel bad. Everyday.
