Poorman's Digital Race Dash + 1K SUBS! - Tunerview & HTS - Civic EG Track Car Build
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Hey, friends! Welcome to the first video of the New Year! Hope all has been well with everyone. In this video I run you guys through a concept I'd like to implement into my Civic in order to clean up the, less than pleasing, zip tie fastened instrument cluster. I put together some things to make a poorman's digital race dash and it comes out pretty darn good!

Out of curiosity would you happen to have a parts listing for a k20a swap into a 04 civic lx sedan? I know you need custom mounts but besides that I believe there is something with o2 sensors and the ecu. Wanna do the swap but keep it legit with no lights in the dash.

I don’t personally have one, but I can link you to some write ups for 7th gen Civic K swaps. Check out: honda-tech.com/forums/attachments/honda-civic-2001-2005-78/407946d1451284112-diy-k20-k24-swap-into-2001-2005-civic-k20-swap-xproductionz.pdf

You are the man brother. And thank you!! Also good shit on those runs. I ran the flr Scca autocross out in the finger lakes region at the Seneca Army depot in central New York and placed first in novice my first time running. Ran a bone stock 2017 civic Si. Those types of runs are amazing. Drag is fun but it has nothing on going into turns and powering out!!

nice work.👍👍👍👍 What model is this tablet. and how fast does it boot up when you start the car?
@bvspeed

It’s a Samsung Galaxy Tab A. When I start my car, the app connects in 2-4 seconds. It’s not immediate, but it does the jobs.
nice videos and big thanks bro. What kind of engine simulator did you hook on the ECU? Where did you get one?
@bvspeed
3 жыл бұрын
I got the simulator from Moates a few years ago. Honestly, I’m not sure if they offer it anymore, but you can check! Thanks for watching!
Good Video... Did you actually made by yourselve the engine simulator? Where can we buy that module... Thx... Continue your vlog... very informative...

Thank you! I bought the simulator from Moates a few years back. I don’t believe they offer it anymore.
Hey Love your Videos! I have a P28 ECU and when I bought it it already had a s100 on it and a ATMEL AT29c256 on it Can I use this same system to Burn a Map into this Chip ? Im very new to Honda stuff More of a Evo guy who bought an EF hatchback.

Hey, thanks! A lot of support for the S100 has gone obsolete and from what I remember you need someone with a Dealer version of S200, Romeditor, and the dongle. Pain in the ass. You’re best bet is to upgrade the S100 to the most current S300 version which is actually what I’m currently running. I’ve attached Hondata’s upgrade form below. Hope this helps! www.hondata.com/downloads/s300v3_upgrade_form.pdf
I need to buy a chipped ecu from you!!

Thanks Bro!! Ive always wanted to learn how to tune / chip my car. Btw one question will my car still run if i unplug the chip?
@bvspeed
Жыл бұрын
It most likely will not. You’ll have to cut the J1 jumper resistor to make it go back to stock.
Great explanatory, organized and not a botched up backyard tuner wannabe with bouncy video that will make you sick before the video is done. Lol

Haha, thank you! Those videos have been a great guide on not what to do.
I have a genuine question. You mentioned not to use low impedance injectors or it will harm a chipped ecu. I'm about to start doing some modifications to my 1994 Accord Wagon. The engine is a F22B2. I'm throwing a F22b1 head on and wiring in my vtec. It has an OBD1 system with the injector resistor box intact. It uses low impedance injectors stock. Before I even begin repinning the 2 wires i have to so I can run my chipped P28 with a F22 basemap should I bypass the resistor box and install some high impedance F23 injectors first? Putting alot of time into it so I want to make sure I don't stress the electrical system or ECU by not getting my ducks in a row first. Many thanks ahead of time dude you're the best!

That’s a great question! If your fuel system originally has low impedance injectors (ie h-series, f-series, and older civic’s/integra’s), an oem resistor box, and you want to keep the resistor box, then you can absolutely use low impedance (peak and hold) injectors. It’s just that my videos are on the OBD1 ECU powering the B-series, which in hindsight, I should’ve mentioned. Rule of thumb is if you’re using Peak and Hold injectors (low impedance) then you must use a resistor box or the injector drivers in the ECU will get fried. If you don’t use a resistor box, then your injectors must be Saturated (high impedance). Your setup will be fine!

@@bvspeed Awesome! Thanks so much for the info. That made perfect sense and now I can get to work making it happen. Thanks again man.
WOW! thanks I just started tunning, this is very helpfull. Can I use any kind of tablet for the tunning app?
@bvspeed

It just depends on whether or not the software you’re using is compatible with the tablet you use.

Why not go hondata s300v3. It already has bluetooth?. Just asking

This was more or so proving a concept; showing that S300 isn’t required to make a “poormans” race dash. I’m actually running on S300 now.
I think I missed it but where are you based out of? I'm in MN and want to know where the tracks are and what events are hosted!

Hey! Im originally from Wisconsin, but I currently live in Chicago. Some organizations you can look into are Gridlife, CGI Motorsports, GPS Track Time, for the midwest area.
Is it possible to chip a 1995 honda odyssey. I wanna put a digital dash on it. also where can I get the chipping kit.

Nice! I have a hondata s300 v3 which comes with a Bluetooth module. Do you think it would work with this app too? The hondata app is really laggy and it always crashes

@Jun Ying Ng. It does. Just download Tuner Viewer app then buy the hondata s300 datalog package and then enjoy your new race dash. I'm using it on my phone. But will use it on my tablet next.
Bro. Where did you buy the simulator? Moates Sim are very expensive.
