Oof she wants him so bad that she brought MC to her world.

Interesting plot. At first, it seems like the princess is batshit crazy and the demons are actually good, but when you think for a bit, you realize nothing is known about the other world. It could be exactly what the surface shows, but it could also be that humanity is at the exge of extinction, and the princess is just desperate and enraged with the demons. I mean, nothing is said about the hero having no freedom, if the humans are wrong, he could just join the demons or not fight for anyone at all, right?

Maybe, but at the end of the day this is not the responsibility of anyone in our world to prop up a failing nation of another world. Once she failed to convince the MC to join her side willingly, her attempts to force him across are extremely dangerous to her own cause for the exact reasons you listed (he joins enemy faction). While her desperation is understandable if the war is in such a bad state, her inability to approach the situation diplomatically and her lack of guilt shows she is not suitable to be in this role as she is representing her kingdom.

I agree but just look at the plot of "The Hero destoys the Demon King". Imagine me an American was able to call up Super Man, he asks me what the situation is,, and I say "Great Hero, you must save us from the Evils of the Demon King THe President of China". Then Super Man gets some super buddies and just invades China killing Chinese as they go. That is basically what is happening. Everybody keeps saying "Demon King is evil he is attacking us". "YOU CLOWNS ARE INVADING HIS COUNTRY! What is he supposed to do?" All very fishy.

@@dragoza600 So their kingdom thought it would be a BRILLIANT IDEA to send someone who is mentally unstable to retrieve the hero from Earth? It doesn’t matter what or why she feels her approach is personally necessary, she is an envoy representing her kingdom right now. Anything she does right now represents what her people stand for and how they solve their problems, and I don’t think attempting to murder the hero without his consent and risking harm to his friends and family is enough for the “but she may be traumatized” argument to really pull heart strings. Plus the longer she is wasting time trying to murder the future hero, the closer he becomes to befriending the demon race and is more likely to doom her own people. She can earn my empathy, but she has yet to earn my sympathy if she can’t think long term. Besides, it’s not like the hero WON’T come to her world. He is prophesied to go there naturally, the kingdom is just too impatient. In their attempt to rush his descent, they are risking losing everything.

I dunno wat to make of this, the princess wants to kill him so he can join her in her world as the hero and defeat the demon king while the demon king's daughter won't allow it, but doesn't it seems like she's doing that purely for her own motives as well?? I mean yeh if he doesn't die there won't be a great hero that'll decimate the demon king's forces in the other world so I don't exactly trust her "good intentions" either. Is it truelly dieing if you reincarnate? If he wasn't saved from the truck he wouldn't have known it was the princess unless she told him later, and even then he would have probably forgiven her after some time, after all he had already aggreed to helping her, knowing that he would have ended up in her world some how.

@@cameramanouter I don't even know how to describe how off your comparison is, he had read Isekai stories before, he should have known he would eather have to die or get transported through a portal, most isekais start with dieing, so that was the most likely scenario, and why would you add his whole family in your hypothetical, giving up your life is different to giving up someone else's life, to me he doesn't wanna let her kill him because he's scared of dieing and stuff, besides, he now met the demon lord's daughter and might have some doubts on helping the princess now.

@@xrosslegends1279 Yes, plenty of isekai's usually have its method through reincarnation, but in the case of it being about "a hero who's destined to save another world," it usually starts with them being summoned to the world. He also knows she got to his world in the first place due to her magic, so he'd likely assume that's how they're going to hers. As for the comparison, it wasn't really about who's life you're giving up, but the fact that you weren't intentionally giving up anyones life. The person you promised to help just intends to take someone's life (the mc for the case of the actual story or someone's family in the case of the hypothetical) to complete their goal. Which, of course, you'd be upset and stay upset about something like that happening when they told you it was them who did it. Of course, seeing at this definitely feels like a harem manga. I'm sure they'll give some random reason to sympathize with her, and he won't hate her for actively using the people of his world to try to kill him and his friend if really needed.

@@cameramanouter I don't really feel like continuing this convo, mainly because I don't think we'll see eye to eye unless I go really in detail, and it's annoying having a debate through a comments section, I would rather do this through DMs instead, but I'll try to give another answer: The princess is clearly a zealot, as told by the demon princess the human princess has blind faith in her believes, so she would need a stern talking to to break her brainwashing, the MC still wants to help her so he definetely didn't take the murder attempt personal, he mostly just as his doubts about the whole thing, maybe he thinks he'll could just die and not be transported if he let her kill him, never the less the fact that the demon princess is protecting him also is messing up with his head, maybe the demons aren't truelly bad guys, so he maybe he shouldn't became the hero and defeat them, there's also the fact that his childhood friend doesn't want him to leave her alone, altho now that he's been awakening his Isekai MC powers without dieing, maybe the princess wont need to keep trying to kill him after he awakens them completely, after all the reason she wanted to kill him was because the reincarnation was gonna be the trigger for him getting the Isekai MC powers... Well, that's a bit of info I got out of my brain...
