Hi, the interview calls are released based on the composite score calculated using the criteria specified on the official website. Board marks are generally normalised and then added to the composite score. But work-ex is also one of the criteria. This "senior" that the person is talking about could file an RTI to check the composite score breakdown and identify why he didn't receive an interview call.

I have a dream to get IIMA, but I worry they won't select me because of my low academic scores and being a general engineer male. My past scores were 63% in 10th and 7.5 in the diploma program. I'm currently in my first semester of engineering and plan to give CAT2026 exam at the end of this semester. However, I feel even if I do well in my degree program and CAT2026, I might not get a call from IIMA. Than i think out side of the box and make plan I know that according to UGC guidelines, I can pursue two degrees simultaneously from different universities. So, I will continue with my engineering degree and also take up another course, maybe something like BA in economics at open University, to add diversity to my profile. I'll aim to complete both graduation degrees at the same time and then appear for CAT2027 exam. I hope this path will increase my chances of getting selected at IIMA. So SIR it is the right way to get selection from IIMA ?

Hi, Most institutes have their own way of computing the composite scores based on the stream. For instance, at IIM-A, a BSc candidate would be grouped with others with degrees belonging to the science stream. The applicant pool, as far as I know, is mainly divided into around 6 groups based on the graduation stream - AC 1 to 6.

I have a obc nc category, male, fresher. 10th - 72 % 12th - 46 % i make so many mistakes in it. Undergrad - 7.03 cgpa in bachleor in pharmacy I have extracurricular, i have participated in various pharma initiative program and also in invotion in medical feild i have certification on it. I am also a collage cricket team captain as well . Pls reply... On this profile if i scored good marks in the cat.. Pls reply. 🙏

Hi, For all candidates in the first shortlist, the top 10 candidates in each of the following : total score in CAT, adjusted Bachelors’score (commerce, arts, and science disciplines), and Professional (CA/ ICWA / CS), from the first shortlist, as created using the selection criteria automatically qualify for PI. These candidates are given a chance to appear for PI due to their exceptional performance in these categories. However, at the end of Phase 2, all such candidates must meritselection based on the composite aggregate score, like any other candidate.
