SF4 was the pinnacle of fighting games it had characters depth intense combos many play styles the graphics hold up today. 🎉

Even in 2020 this is still one of the most impressive fights out there. SFIV at its best, I think your playstyle at a high level as this could’ve truly reflected your personality.

Wow best fights I've seen in a while, such offensive gameplay. Btw I have no clue on how Bullcat predicted that hit at 5:16 lol, you've got to be brave to try that counter there.

at 2:02 it's a HP parry canceled into an EX parry, the imputs are confusing beacause for the ex parry it seems he juste press mp but he also release hp it's called negative edge

@SeriousStu Well it depends on the distance the Ultra 2 comes out relative to your opponent. In that case he was too far away for a follow up attack. But if he was closer to him when the Ultra came out he could've hit a running palm or even an Ex Tatsu in some cases, it all depends on the distance as I said. Hope that answers it:) .

When u fight Poongko's Seth as a final boss on arcade mode

Demon flip + Punch = Gouken's air focus. Mainly useful for baiting Ryu's DPs and other non armor breaking specials and anti air attacks.

That's because the keypress tracker doesn't show release, only press. What he did is tap back + HP to get the high counter, then while still holding HP he taps back again and hits MP to give him the two buttons for the EX. :)

youre right bro best way to play seth is to learn his mix ups and put your opponent under pressure

From my experience, demon flips are for punishing fireballs and for general okizeme purposes. Just throwing it out there isn't too good of an idea. As for the overhead properties, Capcom was just trying to balance the game. Gouken's demon flip dive kick isn't an overhead attack, but his regular one is. At least the game is trying to be consistent.

That particular match didn't have Gouken combo into a charged fireball ultra. Still, you're right there ~ a good match ...

Yeah thats probably true. I just remember years ago hanging around arcades and there were the generally more popular characters but even if a character was bad, someone would eventually pick him up and kick ass with him. Im still practicing with Gouken, but Ive mostly used Blanka in SSFIV. He works really well against all the fireball throwing. Im still yet to buy Brawl for some reason, I did have the first smash bros tho. Might pick it up, years late lol.

The great thing about fighting games is that arguments about who was 'outplayed' or whatever are completely pointless. The game doesn't care about who did the most flashy combos or 1-frame links, the game cares about who wins and who loses. If you lose a match, you were outplayed. Simple as that.

You can cancel into gouken's EX parry from many of his regular specials, including a regular parry. So believe it or not, this guy is good enough to absorb the first hit with a regular parry, then immediately cancel into the EX parry and absorb the second hit.

I want to see Bullcat at the top. Grand finals or something. Clearly the ability is there.

Question, why is it Seth's dive kicks have to be blocked high but they made Akuma's Demon Flip Palm non-overhead? It's not like it wasn't extremely telegraphed. Sometimes I wonder if they favor Seth in some way...

You know Akuma's regular dive kick must be blocked high right? And that it has enough hitstun to combo after hitting a standing opponent?

Out of these 2 I prefer Bullcat ^^ Mostly because I hate Seth. Poongko is highly skilled with all characters, but he is strongest with those who leave you guessing. Gouken is just a beast character. That uppercut to ultra 2 seemed soooooo cheap, but it was infact genious. technolagy baby!

its true, he didnt make any special read or combo to stun, just poongko offered him a free punish with that missed legs, any gouken could do that combo

Pp are what you gain/drop every game and stay constant regardless of character selection. Bp are what you have won with regard to that one particular player you are using.

Yet, if you check his buttons on left side of screen, it shows High Med.

The only thing that bothers me about Bullcat in this video is that he never does Gouken's SRK after his UC2!

no, the PP is his Personal Points. the BP is for the character, and we can't see his spot in endless. but i think he's nr 1 or 2

You mean his Down+MK dive kick? Yes I know that, but I don't know why the same isn't true for the Demon Flip Dives since they're so telegraphed and anyone with a decent dragon punch and punish it.

Actually it didn't, he went from Focus Attack (absorbs one hit) straight to EX Kongoshin (absorbs the second hit). Just watch again closely.

sensational match. Unexpected outcome. I disagree with gouken's end quote though. As far as this match is concerned the calibre of fighters have improved rather than decreased.

Freaking godlike battle

Gouken's uppercut ultra seems the better choice ~ does more damage than his ultra fireball and seems easier to set up with the overhead throw.

I think these kind of matches show that people read too much into tiers and "X character is OP". Not many use Gouken, he stands up aswell as any other though.
