It is not an arrestable offence to call the police as long as you are not knowingly lying. She believed she had cause, the cops should have informed her that she needs to check the hotel records before they would attend instead of sending two white male officers to check a hotel file. Shameful that the police doesn't have enough to do aside from harassing black individuals.

I don't agree. I am from one of the European countries. If someone has bad experience with my people I totally agree to show them I am ok. Show id, or proof like here that was asked. If you act like that you let bad people do what they want because people will afraid to ask Next time. So as she said black people use this pool (steal service) for free I would be complete by the side of stuff. I would say I understand, sorry for my people. I am ok. Yeah I just watched this original video the other day and is SHAMEFUL! Then these dopey cops try to bully her into providing her name and ID, And then they run her license plates? The continue to harass her after she proves to them she's staying at the hotel and has a room. One that's proven, they need to go away. There's no crime. Write an incident report of you want, but there's still NO CRIME. GTFOH with this bullshit! ALL SHE HAD TO DO, was use her access card to get into the outside door entering into the hotel right by the pool. That would have solved the entire situation. But showing her access card provokes bullshit excuses from the "Karen" AND these worthless cops... 🤦‍♂️ So this Karen calls POLICE, BEFORE she even called "her supervisor"?, but then called her supervisor anyway? Wow. With all of the serious issues happening around the world and in the US, with serious (ACTUAL) crimes, calling the police on a hotel guest is a waste of police resources & time. If the dispatcher for the police was doing their job, they wouldn't have even sent the police out there in the first place, unless the dispatcher is a fellow Karen themselves.... Then there's the second part of (this) video (which was a different video & situation) where a man was talking on his cell phone in a lobby and they kick him out of the hotel? WTF is wrong with these people?

tim hayes - I would expect the same outcome if the employee had given the same ‘slight’ to a white person, so yes, I do feel that the outcome was fair. Your skewed view that this happens all the time, for any upset or slight given by a white person to a black person is either very revealing re your lack of any social awareness (and knowledge of the real world) and/or just screams ‘massive racist tit’. Have a word with yourself.

In a perfect world: Cops walk up, "Do you have a room key?" Woman shows room key. Cops: "Thanks. Have a good day" and go away. Tell the manager, "Stop wasting our time."

The other bigger issue was the manager didn’t ask the other guests in the pool for any proof they belonged because she said it’s only people like her (black people) that break into the pool area. Pete Miff lol I’ve seen so many videos of white women screaming bloody murder before they’re even touched by a police officer. The worst thing that happens to some is get tasered from a distance, after multiple pleas (5+ minutes too long) to stop what they’re doing. I don’t know what black people you’ve met that you have to group them like that, but the fact that many get stopped simply by “looking criminal” and get instigated by an officer that they then have to be loud to draw attention in case the worst happens bc officers escalate the case really fast, in contrast with detaining white women, is a huge problem. Whether you want to agree with that or not.

Pete Miff in this video they’re choosing to believe the woman that called them right away and are borderline harassing the woman recording... meanwhile there’s a news clip online that caught police arriving at a scene of a store being robbed, and they handcuffed the people that called them, aka the store owners, without proper questioning bc they were black, while they let the robbers run away, why they chose to handcuff the people they saw first, you tell me.

And not only african americans, asians, middle east and none white latinos experience brutality and harassment of civilian whites. I guess partly because there's a disproportionate black prisoner population and far too many police officers believe the narrative without question! We get it here in the UK too, police using racial profiling to justify their actions. If you're a black young male in the UK you're something like 8 times more likely to be stopped and searched in the street. A black male is way more likely to be stopped by police if he's driving an expensive car ... the inference being that he could only afford a high end motor by being a drug dealer! In this example we learn that the employee was fired, and rightly so. But we don't know that the attending officers were reprimanded, though I guess they'd argue that they were simply responding to a call out and couldn't know for sure that the woman and her daughter were guests in the hotel simply on the say so of the woman. There were way less offensive ways the employee could have determined the woman was indeed a guest. But no, she's nothing but a racist who thought calling the police would support her presumption the woman and daughter hadn't the right to be in the hotel's pool! Well now she's an unemployed racist, which causes me no sleep loss at all.

They should be disciplined, but not fired. It would be nice to see this country get to the point where police are so professional that an incident like this stands out. I worked at a hotel and in the training was stuff about this kind of behavior. I know that no one I worked with would ever do this.

ThatOneWeirdGal I agree with you, but you should be aware that under the law, the police can run anyone’s plates for any reason. Many people are never even aware that it’s happening, as they can simply do it from their cruiser without even pulling a driver over. In Massachusetts, it recently got a lot easier to do, because we are required to have plates which can be scanned from a cruiser electronically. Big Brother is watching all of us. What I am wondering is how they knew which car was hers.

That last clip is PRICELESS! I've watched it three times!

As a long time hotelier, I would advise any woman to absolutely refuse to provide her her room number to ANYONE outside other than front desk personnel and while at the front desk. Not to a housekeeper... not to a bellman...not even the hotel GM....and certainly not this crazy lady. The guest offered to show the officers proof of her guest status and they refused. Were I Hilton, I would offer her free stays from this point on. They avoided a major law suit.

In NY a bill is being pushed to pass which would register making false calls to the police on people based on their race, religion, sexuality and sexual orientation a hate crime. So NY hopefully will soon give real world consequences to people who choose to act in such a “boy/girl who cries wolf” sort of manner (i.e criminal charges and jail time depending on the level of aggression and evidence behind it).

@Sramana Dasyu They were responding because of the possibility of trespass and the known fact of child endangerment. The safety of the kids being left unattended in a pool is the most important thing. They didn't show the video of her being confrontational in the parking lot before the officers arrived when she was spotted on camera leaving the kids alone in the pool before the other couple showed up for her to claim racism.

@Sramana Dasyu wrong. The confrontation started in the parking lot where the mother was in her car on the phone and the children were approached by the employee asking where their parent was. The children pointed to the parking lot. When the employee tried to talk to the mother she refused to get off ther phone or answer questions saying, "call the cops,I don't have to talk to you." Then officers were called and she started taking video after the officers arrived. You don't know shit.

These things have always happened. If you are black, you are expected to carry your "papers" and prove to any white person who confronts you that you have a right to be wherever you happen to be. I wonder what she would of said if there was 3 people there at the pool she thought were rude/loud and were not guests or even friends of a guest. The history with water is that, water is considered luxury, blacks were moved the furthest away from oceans and large bodies of water and moved to inner parts of town. No they are not. I understand why you say that and wont argue the principle with you, but they were asked to check if someone is tresspassing, they try to find out if that's the fact, until that point that's legit. Now the situation is a little hot, they ask for a name (fastest way to check if she lives there) name id not given, a key is shown (A KEY! could be a fake, they dont know). Now did the officers handle the situation perfectly? Nope. But bullying is was of. There is the fun question: if the woman and her kids were white, would the police have been called?

Does the manager harass every person there she did not ‘check in’ herself?’ It was discriminatory I mean she called the cops on this woman. If you watched the entire video and read some articles on this you would see this happens far to often and it in fact was discriminatory. The only person to have the cops called on from the hotel in 2 years- and she was black, coincidence? I mean it happened in North Carolina racism is all too common there. I was pulled over like that, once. I tend to go a mile under the speed limit - it helps gas mileage and unless it's an emergency I'm never in a hurry, and yet I got pulled over. I was wondering what the heck, maybe my tail lights were out? And the officer came up, didn't even ask for my licence. He saw I was wearing my seatbelt and I got a $25 gift card to the local theater. :-) LOL Funny thing is, I was on my way to the theater to get tickets to see Iron Man. It's a program they have out here, too. Random pull-overs like that I mean.
