Late summer/early autumn 2023 session.
saw me once again trying to connect with the elusive Gilthead Bream in Poole harbour - love these fish!
The fishing was tough first thing but as the day progressed the fishing just got better and better, and once the light faded multi-species were frequently gracing the yak........but did I get my gilthead?

Sat at home getting over the COVID and nothing better for that than watching fishing videos! Great fishing and tuition there mate ( parts 1 & 2 )! Looking forward to getting down there this Spring - Autumn. Those bait casting rod and reel combos your using are they decent and work well? Looking for something similar. TIA

I would imagine a little early,..BUT☝️, a few have been caught locally from the beaches, so you never know but in about three four weeks more prolific...good luck
I usually lure fish from the kayak for bass in poole harbour. What oz lead do you use to bait for the black bream?

Hi buddy, depending on the strength of tidal flow can use as little as an ounce and as much as 4oz, but I generally opt to start with 2oz👍
What lure were you using at the end of the session?
