Awesome work! Thank you so much for sharing detailed information. Much appreciated. With your help, I am able to do it. Can't say thank you enough! 🙏🙏🙏
wonderful work. thanks for sharing
Thanks for the video, I followed your video and recreated it. added gold point on gopuram and it turned out great.
Its a great work done and thanks for providing the list of all the items too👌👌
Hi, I really like your design. Thank you for creating this video. I was able to build one and this is my first project. I sent you the pictures. The only issue I had was with gopuram. It was very painful to get it close to what you have. I read through all the comments and some of them faced exactly the same set of issues I did. Cutting the crown molding with 7 1/4 miter was not easy and in your video it was kept an angle which I was unable to do with my 7 1/4 miter saw. After lot of research, I set the bevel angle at 33.9 and miter angle at 31.6 but the issue with that was the angle was super steep and it came out flat at the top and it did not have enough depth at the top to hold finials with out edges popping out.
Awesome job, thanks for sharing
Excellent video, great skills.
Your video is inspirational for us. We are going to start our DIY project soon. thank you so much for your video n details of the materials.
Very very very impressive . Superb . Thanks for sharing the details . Here we go to get materials

Very nicely done!
1) Do have any recommendation for size of the screws? 2) I am building a 48'' x 24'' do you recommend adding any support to the bottom box (inside) to prevent the top board from sagging
This is great! Thanks for posting, you have inspired me to build one.
Excellent work. Thanks for sharing. We started this project prior to finding this video and was stuck on the gopuram piece. This video helped to solve it. In Canada homdepot and lowes discontinued the 4inch accent you had used. So going to try with the 2 and half. Fingers crossed.

Glad the video was helpful. Yes I came to know that the crownmolding is not available in Canada through another viewer who was able to use different type of molding and complete the mandir. Good luck with the project. You can email me at diyaddict2016@gmail.com if you have any questions.

Thanks for sharing the video With this inspiration we( I, my sister and her husband wanted to DIY this project, due to place issue and lack of tools etc. We gave up the idea of doing it and approached home depot, if we could get any contact and finally we go it done for just 100$ excluding material costs. I have shared the pics with you. Thank you, thank you and thank you. God bless you abundantly.
Great work and I got inspired by your wonderful work, effort and amazing interest. I m in making one for us and in final stage to finish off with color and want to paint the same color what you have used, so would you mind to let me know the paint you have used and from where to get it would really help. Thanks 🙏

Excellent work! We made a similar one following your vedio and turned out great. I am at the stage of painting the whole thing. I see the stores carry 2 varieties of polyurethane coat. There’s spray like the one you used and there’s a can and we need to use brush to apply the coat. Does it matter which one we use? Is the spray easier to apply than the one with brush. Is the shine going to be the same?
Thanks alot for the video. Could I know what specs you used for cutting gopuram moulds. We have hard time figuring it out.
Thanks for posting the video. Lovely design. Was the miter set at 45 degrees and 0 degree bevel for the gopuram? Can't tell if this is a compound miter cut or not.
How wide is the wood piece for Back Support the one you cut 2 Pieces of 36" and 2 Pieces of 28" Pieces?
Thank you for your motivation and the video ofcourse my friend. We upscale on the dimensions a little bit and built one , 4 ft width, 5'6" height and 2 ft deep. Instead of stain, we primed the plywood and painted it
Hi i have a small dought in this whole process what you used is oak plywood?you mentioned 12 mm plywood that's for?
It’s a nice Mandir. Could you tell me if I can cut for the gopuram using circular saw? And what are the angles to cut?
Can you please share the link of items to buy and where you bought them

in the base cabinet you made pocket holes on both sides but seems like you used only the bottom ones, not the top pocket holes ? At 1:34 sec I see that you are drilling and screwing vs using pocket holes ? Trying to determine if I need to make pocket holes on both sides ?
Nice job brother
For any folks in UK, looking for the crown moulding, it is called Coving in UK.
Hello Sir, do you have any drawing with measurements? I am planning to build one..!!
Hi! Can you share the dimensions used for the gopuram?
Very easy and useful video, can you please tell at what angle gopuram was cut?
Thank you very much for descriptive information. Like to know molding cutting angle for gopuram. Thank you
Hi, It's an absolutely amazing project! Can you please share the list of tools you used?
@DIY, can you please suggest the angles for the Mitre saw if i keep the moulding flat for a 45 degree cut. i'm trying for a 2 step gopuram. pleas advise if there is any other easier way to get the 45 degree cut

Do have any recommendation of screw size? Awesome temple.. we are planning to make. Thanku so much.!!
What is the height of the mandir after completion?
Are you using a Braid Nailer or Narrow Crown Stapler?

Can you please share all the list of tools used?

Frankly it is very difficult to come up with the measurements. I usually look at available space on top and the trim I use and do the math. What i did is cut small pieces of the trim and then arrange them with out glue and do the necessary adjustments. This might result in wastage but will accomplish the work needed.
Hey guys, do you take order from the people who don’t know how to make? If yes then how to contact you?
What length screws did you use
Did anyone tried the same? What is the size of the drawer? Dimensions?

Can you please share the nail gun brand ?

Can you put the list together for all of the wood pieces you cut then I can Easly Assemble Otherwise I have to put one together myself?
Great Job ............. and putting up the links for the materials really helps to see what you have used. I was looking to make something similar, but in a much, much simpler way. Not sure I will be able to replicate yours as I am a newbie to wood working starting with bigger things and nothing such intricate and also 'Zero' knowledge or experience with mouldings.

I use the deck screws or drywall screws. I would highly recommend pre drilling for every screw as it reduces the chipout.

Awesome work!! Where did you get the parts from, are they all available at Home Depot?
This is great but kinda too much & difficult to make. Also I wonder where did you get the round poles?
Hi Sir, Need small suggestion. Started this project by inspiring from your video. Now I am making gopuram. How can we make crown molding using circular saw? I cut molding @45 degrees as bevel. However, i am not able to join two sides as they are going apart when i place them at an inclination.
@diy-doityourway3779
3 жыл бұрын
Srinivas, sorry for the delayed response....uaing circular saw for miter cuts of crownmolding is rather difficult and i would not suggest.. crown moulding should be placed at an angle to make the cut..i would recommend a moter saw or a miter box for this.
Looks great but i see you have joined all boards with screws. Do you think this will stand if i just with do with wood glue with absolutely no nails/screws?
@diy-doityourway3779
4 жыл бұрын
I would not recommend that as the pins are used to hold the trims together while the glue sets. If you do not use pin, then the trims will be left with a gap between them.
Do you have dimensions or item Number for the front legs you used
At time 7:40 what was the miter saw settings you used to cut the gopuram moldings.
@diy-doityourway3779
4 жыл бұрын
All the cuts for gopuram crown molding are done at 45 degrees. I did not use crown stoppers but if you are new to cutting the crown molding I would recommend using crown stoppers or some stopping blocks.
Can you please share the plan and measurements
Hi..Great job and really inspired to start this home project. I have couple of questions , I see you used three different sizes of plywood, was there any specific reason ? Also for pocket joinery will simple tool will work or will need to have something you used in the video to make right pocket joints ?

Hi, can you please let me know the mitre saw settings for crown moulding? Amazing video and Mandir.

Thank You. I use the default inclination angle that comes with the crown molding (usually 45 degrees) and do a 45 degree miter cut just like in video. If this is the first time working with crown molding I would recommend using Crown Stoppers for miter saw.
Awesome, how much did it cost for all the products to build. Is this from Home Depot

what kind of tool kit is required to build the mandir. It would be great if you can give the details

When cutting the crown molding, make sure you place it at the same angle you intend to put on the gopuram and the. Do the 45 degree cut. It seems people have had issues with gopuram and crownmolding. I cant promise but I will try to make a video in a week or two on how to cut crownmoldong with miter box for gopuram.
