Thanks for sharing! Its definitely worth sharing so Im glad you did. We live and we learn. No one is perfect. Not all ppl locked up are bad. We’ve been there with wrong ppl and wrong timing and some things happen and you cant control. Young and dumb and poor decisions. Its okay. You learned and now know to balance out the good and bad. Doing good is hard and trying to love your families for lost time. Thats all you can do. Good luck to you! Stay humble and kind. Keep preaching and teach them young ones.

Brother, glad to see you turned your life around. You should know statistics show that most prisoners returned back to prison again and again. I was a public defenders attorney before and it's sad to see many of my criminal defendants kept repeating crimes. The community at large, like you sister 's families, do have reasonable fears of a murder convicted felon, because repeat offense often happened again. You were lucky, even the owner was angry and reluctant, to have a shelter after being released and that an employer took a chance on you. Many released prisoners ended up returning to prison for committing new crimes because no one offered them any shelter and job. So yes you learned and changed your behaviors to surrendering to any potential conflicts. Live your life, good luck

Everyone makes a mistake in life. It's up to you to know the rights and wrongs and to learn from it. I agreed to allow your wife to control the running of your home and her children. but brother to allow her full control of your finances and to have everything in her name that I do not agree with. Because if atany timee she wants tokickd you ou, she'll have everything and you'll have not a damn thing. If she decides to set you up to get you locked up again or if she decides to leave you, you'll have nothing because everything is in her name. But it's your choice and decisions. I am glad to know that her children respect and accept and appreciate you and treat you well. Your wife stuck with you and helped you get your life together and rebuild your life.

Your mind has frozen in time after 20 years. You have not changed. But life has moved on. That was why things have not been the same when you first went in.

I'm very happy for you. You made a stupid mistake as a 17 year old teenager, but glad you turned your life around. Don't pay attention to other people that say you don't need to teach/tell/lecture others about your experience... But thank you for letting May tell us your story.

I’m glad you’re doing better now but stop making us feel bad for the time you lost in prison. You did something and you deserved everything if not more. You have earned the jail time so i don’t have sympathy for that. You’re also not as credible as someone who haven’t done what you done to tell others. Someone who’s divorced 10x is not 10x more credible than someone who’s been in 1 marriage their whole lives.
