Having vaguely heard of the theory in question before watching this video, the twist didn't come as THAT much of a surprise to me but I still got chills when I heard Luna's hoof steps at the end. That and the ending spell sound effect were very nice touches. I really enjoyed listening to this, Luna is one of those unique characters in the sense that I love her as a hero AND as a villain. That's part of why she's my favorite character and, given the circumstances, Chrysalis being her in disguise isn't that far-fetched. You've just earned yourself a new subscriber.

I love how this is a story about how luna tricked them but luna is in the last pic listening to the story and not at all mad about it

Just want to say I'm sorry I've been listening to your readings this last month because I've been busy with stuff and some bad things in real life have been taking a toll on me. Plus, some of those pairings in those readings I really didn't like, but I just ignored them instead of just flagging it because we don't a repeat of that. Anyway, great job on this reading! I really enjoyed it.

Loved that story. I will always hold my opinion of Luna as my best princess but I would be curious as to what she was doing during the changling invasion. The chill in my spine and my eyes widen at the last few minutes. Tommy Oliver would say use the "the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist."

Tommy Oliver/Antony C's theory had me sitting there with a big ol dopey grin on my face for minutes after the video ended. This is a great follow up to that.

I liked that let's play of Slenderman you did with applejack and rarity. It was quite refreshing.

but I like this type of dark story better than other ones. I felt like I was reading a painstakingly crafted suspense novel...or listening to its audiobook, rather, which was really nice.

Late to the party, but I really enjoyed this reading and the story. I really loved Antony and Tommy's theory at the end of their Canterlot Wedding review, and I've always thought it'd be interesting to explore. (Sure, it wouldn't work given what's happened since then, but still, it's a cool theory.) It's a shame this story never got a sequel. I would've loved to know what happens next, but it looks like the author has retired from MLP fanfics. Ah well, guess that's the way the cookie crumbles.

People like to create elaborate explanations for things that mostly happened, or didn't happen, for the sake of plot convenience. The real reason for Luna's absence in the Changeling assault is fairly simple: Luna was inconvenient for the story, so she was left out. In the season finale, Chrysalis needs to be overcome by a group of characters that are not super duper powerful, for the sake of creating an exciting story. Chrysalis can believably take down one horse goddess princess, which is why she Worfed Celestia, but she can't take down two, if they're working together. Of course, even if Chrysalis could have defeated both of them at once, depicting this would have been more complicated than depicting Chrysalis defeating Celestia, without adding much to the main plotline. Alternatively, if Celestia and Luna both fought Chrysalis separately, then that would be redundant, because Chrysalis has already demonstrated that she is more powerful than either sister by taking down one of them. It's just much easier to leave Luna out of the story.

My original reply was you must be fun at parties. I feel like you're missing the point of stories it's too kind of take something that could be and weave it and twist it. This comment just comes off as kind of rude and kind of mean picking up people who have big ideas or huge head cannons and like to write to pass the time.

@@Topdoggie7 I don't have any issues with creating personal head canons or coming up with ideas from source material. I suppose that my comment is more relevant to fan theories that are based on minor details. If someone created a theory, which they took absolutely seriously, in which Luna was Chrysalis due to how she was not involved in defending Canterlot, then I would have a point. That would be similar to the old fan theories about "Naruto" in which Pain of the Akatsuki is Naruto's father, purely based on how Pain looked similar to Naruto. For the loose fan theory situation, the best explanation is often the "meta" explanation: remember that this is a work of fiction, and there might be IRL reasons for something in the work of fiction. It's possible that I wasn't directly referring to the story. I may have been referring to loose theorizing in general, particularly when people take it too seriously. I can't recall if I assumed that the author was taking the idea seriously. It's been nearly a year since I made the comment.

This definitely has to be based on Tommy Oliver/Antony C.'s theory. and it was soooo intriguing
