Pontoon restoration project | Putting the boat back together and getting out on the water | Part 2

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Follow along as I rebuild my old pontoon boat. Part 1 had the new floor put down and the old fencing rebuilt with new black metal. My hands hurt from all the pop riveting! Now we will install the new fencing using the hardware that came with our flooring kit from pontoonstuff.com. We will have a new back gate fabricated and install it with a lift hinge to make it easy to access our new fold up ladder. Then we will install the new console, rewire the entire boat from scratch, put in a new Yamaha outboard remote control, install all new Premium furniture and a brand new Bimini top. I think this thing looks brand new when I get it done, let me know what you think! Thanks for watching and please subscribe!

Great job Jon. Boat looks amazing! I would have way underestimated how much work this project would take. All those freaking through bolts...

And the worst part was there was zero room to put your hands to install the nut! Thanks for watching!

Inspirational! May I ask what you had to weld?

I had a new back gate welded up. The original boat did not have access out of the rear of the boat.

Put a piece of wood behind the steering assembly or any high use item to prevent the plastic helm from breaking thru .

I'm looking for corners with the rope hook like you have. Haven't been able to find them. Where did you get yours or were they original to your boat?
