After three straight rain outs, fans packed the stands at Ponderosa Speedway as the 2024 racing season finally began at the track with the running of the $10,000 to win Finn Watson Memorial race. The 53-lap contest presented by the Southern National Series saw #157 Mike Marlar pace the no-stop event from green to checker taking a popular victory. #10 Garrett Smith and #B5 Brandon Sheppard fought hard for runner-up honors but neither had the speed to overtake Marlar. Ponderosa Speedway is a 3/8 mile clay oval located near Junction City, Kentucky.
