I remember them old days and when the elders would praise the motherland, its weather, fruits, landscapes. I would go, what is so special about Afghanistan. Now after 23 years living away I exactly know what they meant. I write poems and reflect on those priceless memories. As our prophet stated, peace be upon him, "one can get all the doctorate degrees in the world, but one travels to distant corners of the world, there's no comparison. We can write about our holy motherland, but once we visit it, we realize how simple they live, the way of the indigenous tribes, the way of not being plugged into the matrix (electronics) 24/7... they tried very hard for almost 4 decades, various empires, but failed miserably -- The time has come for all Afghans around the world to visit their ancestors birth place; bring their children and see what life is really like, the simple and most beautiful way... most have nothing for themselves, but offer everything they can... May that day come when you too can visit the land of the Afghans as i did after 33 years, almost a decade ago -- Ongoing BlEssings --

I know we are the minority in this ideal 21st century but my mind is also intact and I follow what makes sense unlike the big masses. You are so right about the matrix bit. Yes, Alhamdullah! The land is extremely fertile; some of the earliest civilizations have settled in Kandahar, as far back as 7,000 years ago... throw a seed up in the air, wherever it lands ABUNDANCE will GROW!
