I'm tutoring math at my local junior college, and I'm just watching these videos to study Mr. Woo's teaching style. I learned a lot of this stuff a long time ago, so it's second nature to actually do it, but I forget how to explain what it is that I'm doing, and Mr. Woo's explaining ability is worth learning from.

Holy crap, I never noticed that polynomials of certain terms correspond to specific types of curves.

Great video! I'm returning to college after being away for 20 years and today our first assignment was polynomials and I was so lost. You explained so much, in such a little time frame. I hoping you have more video's like this, as I will be coming back to watch. Thanks!

The way he acts is like a practice teacher with directors watching his class, which is good since he isn't rlly doing this for anyone that's just the way he teaches

Sir why x^2 +1/x is a not a polynomial Why in definition of polynomial we take only positive power of a variable why we not say for any power of x it become a polynomial. Please tell me sir

Polynomials can't have negative powers and 1/x is the same as x^-1. Polynomials can only have positive integers.

I teach in the US where polynomials are formally defined in 11th Grade "Algebra 2," typically taken by 16-year-olds. As Mr. Woo points out, students encounter them before the term "polynomial" is introduced - perhaps as early as 7th Grade in the US.
