Polymer Clay: Plates
I forgot to say how I made the bowls! I used the same mold that I did in this video:

When it was done baking I took it out of the mold, added a dab of Bake and Bond to the bottom, then a little ball of clay. I pressed the bottom of the bowl into the ball of clay and that made the base. I baked it again, then after it cooled I filed the edges before I painted it.

Those plates are beautiful!! Your idea of creating the tool to make the indents was BRILLIANT! I'm going to use that idea to create some of my own plates! I'm glad I found this video. :) THANK YOU!
I learned a lot! Idea for centering: What if you traced a graph paper grid (using a thin sharpy and ruler) onto a piece of plastic wrap? You could use the grid to help you center the indent.

that was the smallest brush i have ever seen! i had a dream that you made chip and mrs pots from beauty and the beast. they turned out awesome! maybe thats something youd like to have a go at? they were realistic ones. not cartoony. great music middle mini cakes! you have a great talent there. looking forward to hearing what else you create :)
