I'm writing this in February 2021. My tabby, Mia, is in my lap and got very confused when I started to cry. Your love for Arya shows in every movement you make. Thank you for sharing her memory with us. I've just discovered your channel and have been binge watching for hours.

This is beautiful work. I've never seen anyone "paint" with clay the way you do instead of using chalk pastels or paint. I'm sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss. Last year my cat leave this world forever. whenever i remember about him tears are falling out of my eyes. i have also maded a sculpture of my cat with clay . Feeling bad for arya🙁 Hope she is in heaven with other good cat souls 🙁

I know this video was posted awhile ago, but I wanted to tell you how moving it is. As I watched your video, I was crying because I lost my beloved cat to kidney failure last year. It was heartbreaking and although I have another cat now, I still miss her dearly. I wanted to memorialize her in polymer clay, but did not know if I could do her spirit justice. Your video has really inspired me to try, because it’s such a beautiful way to remember them. You’ve captured Arya so beautifully here. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

At first I thought I just found a beautiful cat sculpture that was sculpted with so much care. But it touched me for some reason so I got curious and read your blog. Now I know this isn't just a sculpture. You sculped Arya's soul and it is beautiful.

The 31 dislikes are because a tear fell on their screens or they were sobbing so hard they missed the like and didn't realize it

So beautiful! The cat's face is amazing! I lost one of mine last October (he wasn't the first and probably won't be the last but it leaves you feeling awful.) I wish you and yours health and happiness xx (I never saw anyone painting with polymer clay before...it's lovely!).

I think the sculpt resemble Arya in many ways, but especially her beautiful eyes. Her eyes were very big and expressive and I think you've captured them in all their beauty. +Keepsake Crafts - Sandy Huntress As I write in my blog post and below the video, she was suffering a lot in her last days and she had lost a lot of weight the last month, so I was sort of prepared. Also seeing a cat suffer is horrible, so her death, even though heart breaking was also a bit of a relief.

Although we miss him, we're glad to know he's not suffering any longer. On a brighter note, I need to try more sculpting with a toothpick! :-) Love what you did there.

Absolutely goregous piece. I also lost my cat 2 yrs ago and still miss him.

+Lindy Diddle it is hard, but it is also such a peaceful way to go. Very mixed emotions at that moment. Especially since her last breath sounded like a happy sigh of relief. I burst out in tears anyway, but I'm honestly glad we could end her life in a gentle way, as her suffering was just too heart breaking.

This was the most beautiful cat sculpture I’ve ever seen! When I was 8 years old I had 4 cats but 3 of them die, the first one was zoro who got ran over by my friend’s sister’s friend but never apologized and the other ones were poisoned. I still miss them

david poirier she was sick and was euthanized because her quality of life was poor and her vet probably recommended euthanasia to put the cat out of her misery

@@davidpoirier6421 so what? isn't he allowed to enjoy the video because of it? I felt sorry for the sculpter because I lost an Cat too whe n I was little. Still I enjoyed seeing her sculpt the cat. it was with so much care that I took her for advice on sculpting techniques. But when I tried to sculpt along with her video, I realised, that I couldn't really catch the perspective she was starting with. was the little point of the ball looking downwards or more towards me? it took me weeks to come up with something compareable... So, long story short: when Ian says, he enjoyed the video and he gives probs by mentioning the level of being realistic, that is none the less a reason to pout him, because she is sculpting her dead cat. Him saying he enjoyed the video was just something positive for a sad person.

I lost my cat Hiccup today, I love him so much and will miss him terribly, my dad was his best friend and the human he chose to be his own, they did a lot together, my dads a mechanic and Hiccup wasn’t afraid of any power tool, they ever walked every day at 4pm rain, hail or shine… my dads taking his loss really had and I think if I had a go at making a figure like this it might bring him some pease. This is truly a beautiful creation❤❤

I'm so sorry for your loss, and the cat sculpture of your cat looks amazing. you put so much emotion into it and I truly am sorry for your cat, i lost my cat when I was younger and whenever i think about him i am sad but I like to remeber that my cat is in a better place now and happy.

Thank you! The eyes are made with translucent polymer clay mixed with turquoise clay. I pre-bake them before using them in the sculpture.

I' so sorry you lost our kitty. I know its been a little while now - but still. I have just lost my 20 year old Siamese 3 days ago, and want to do a tribute to him, so this was really helpful. I needed that cry as well as the tutorial, thank you, life is so short and I feel closer to what's important like finding happiness despite the pain.

i saw other videos but the cats look like that cartoony way outta polymer clay too but i had a tuff time making them, and this here ima "LOOKS" easier but have yet to find out and the cat looks realistic, that's a really craftsman's work ty
