The 1948 film: Mad About Men was filmed here. Lovely to see it hasn't changed all that much.

Thanks for watching. Im sure the town is mostly the same, probably just a few more tourists these days (and i was one of them :) )

I'm guessing that, so soon after the War, and years of prewar neglect, those cottages would be not only poorly kitted out, but had not been whitewashed for many years. Today, many owners aren't fishermen, but well-to-do owner's whose main home is a long way from there.
Thank you for taking me on your journey through your photos. It is really delightful and relaxing. It gave me great pleasure

Sorry I’m late to watch this. I’ve been swamped and I’m now catching up on YT here. This was a beautiful calm way to start my Sunday. I loved the little narrow streets and the lapping of the waves is one of the best sounds in the world. Hope you’re well, friend!

you captured the tranquility of this beautiful piece of earth wonderfully. The slow motion recordings have also contributed to the deceleration. Beautiful video about the grandiose nature of England and the reserved building there by the people. Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland 🤗

danke and thank you as always. Its a really wonderful place, i will go back one day for sure. Have a great week cheers from barnyz
We really are going to have to research and visit Cornwall one day soon, especially now we can go off season when it will be comparatively quiet. Loved the small alleyways, shops, harbour and bay, looks so quaint and I know the sun always helps but they do get more of it down there than we are used too, cheers Alan

Thanks Alan. Yes you should. Im sure you would love it down there (although it might be sunnier its also more exposed to atlantic weather so raincoats are a must!)
This is definitely a place I would love to visit someday and you captured it so perfectly - definitely picture postcard stuff. Glad you guys got the light of a beautiful sunny day for your trip. I bet the small isolated harbor was the main attraction to the smugglers. Thanks for the cool video. Best wishes to you both from Shawn and Mai. 👋👋🍻✌️

What a lovely little place. I wish Lake Michigan had such calm waters! Once again, you've made a splendid video that showcases the charm and beauty of an area. Perhaps, as we wait for season ten of "Doc Martin", you might get over to Port Wen??? 😉

hey thanks, the weather was nice so the sea was calm, its not always like that, i have another video coming some time next year of a spot just around the corner a few days later during a storm when the sea is raging :) As for Port Wen, ive been to the real place Port Issac but not for a long time so i will go back soon and make a video epsiecally as its close to Tintagel castle which is another location i want to film have a great week cheers from barnyz
Nice video Barnyz. We considered visiting last year when we were exploring Devon and Cornwall but weren't sure there was much to see. It does look a quaint place though and the view from the harbour wall looks awesome. Have a good week end - Nettie
