Question that OKM should pose is this : If the same involved a minister of MCA or Umno, would DAP or OKM accept the same explanations offered by DAP or OKM? I think the best would be not to keep a coalition in government for too long to avoid nepotism (first) & then corruption (later).

Hanna was well known as person who condemn about nepotism back then. She should speak out and come out with her stand on this. Still can't imagine if this happen during UMNO/BN as government. The tone will be different. Well that's Malaysia. Everything change when you are in power.

Agree 110% that the Asia Mobiliti's appointment should have been disclosed earlier. Unfortunately it is a bit late now & the damage is already done. The backlash is also perpetuated by what HY used to preach abt cronysim, open tenders & nepotism. All these have come back to bite her hard. Staying silent is really making it worse.

Seem like OKM try to normalize the cronism and nepotism.. DAP fought cronism of Umno and BN long 30yrs ago. NFC is one of the biggest example if where Minister and husband involved.

Contracts awarded to Minister's spouse/children etc will attract a lot of attention and is fodder for the Opp. to sharpen their swords and inflict damaging perceptions to those involved no matter how the issue looks or sounds like. It is just like LGE in his bungalow issue. Once one is in positions of power , it somehow blurs one's prudence on legality and perceptions in any given situation. To me, it is timely for Hannah to come out and clear the air and let it be a lesson for all and let life continue as normal.

Actually we could not allow non transparent deals. It was PH told everyone all government projects must have transparency to public when as opposition. Now as government where it must impose now in order next time when PH lost and become opposition again, at least the SOP has been implemented. The next party become government at least must follow

It was a waste of people’s precious time, that’s how I see it. As for me, at least I did the filling up of personal details in the comfort of my home, but many folks weren’t so lucky, they had to spent a day at some centre cause they needed aid to do so. Finally, God knows how much of taxpayers funds were bungled on this. 🤷🏽‍♀️

How could APAD approve such license to Asia Mobiliti when the service could not even cater to the OKU and elderly persons in wheelchairs? How could Asia Mobiliti claim they have innovative and grround-breaking technologies when they can't even provide a simple ramp to accommodate wheelchair passengers. Obviously the Proof of Concept failed because it is not inclusive and has deliberately neglect this group of users.

I think OKM has the points that the Selangor state government should come out to clearify and been more transparent coz there isnt nothing to hide. The company awarded the contract wasnt new...this company had been in business for some time and had been engaged to service in East M'sia.... Those.reasons for awarding the contract...etc. this will be more convincing for the general public to understand.

fuel subsidy is like paying civil servant pension, a recurring cost that just keep getting bigger. more cars annually = more fuel subsidy expenses annually, it's bad for the country. it's impossible for the country to subsidize fuel forever & there will be a time where subsidy has to be removed even without sakao & 1MDB. i just rather that instead of Najib implementing GST & Sabri forcefully increase the minimum wage during Covid, those 6% & RM300 can be deducted from fuel subsidy, cuz inflation will happen anyway. now it's up to the Madani's wisdom on how to cut fuel subsidy without triggering inflation.

Why u need to defend indirect Asian mobility

The public has until June 8 to give feedback on policies and development strategies proposed for the Selangor Structure Plan 2035 (Amendment) draft. Why is the plan not available to the public online? We have to take a bus somewhere to physically look at a government draft plan inviting feedback from the public in this day and age?

I think YB Rajiv is instrumental in Kumpool's. He should be consulted.

I hv not heard of DRT until the news of it in the current newspaper. It shld hv been disclosed by the Selangor govt when the service started .Then there won't be any objections from the opposition MPs.

I suggest you bring in YB Dr. Kelvin Yii from DAP Sarawak. I think he is a more decent thinker of policies as compared to Yb Chong and YB Violet.

The selangor government should openly invite companies to participate in any pilot project and choose the company with the best KPI.

If it is an open "contract" then the best offer could be accepted by the people. In Malaysia, it seems we are unable to live by that guideline. No matter from which party they represent, those elected always demand preference treatment. Such direct appointment will always raise plenty of doubts. Yana, the choice is open, either you sacrifice yourself or your husband's interest, I don't think you can sacrifice DAP!

As a rakyat I say bring on the people who has good ideas and track record to help solve our public transportation issue. Lets not get tangled in the web of politics and nothing gets done. The felt experience will speak for itself in time to come. Also, family members of Ministers can have their own careers too with the right level of transparency.

Meritocracy is still meritocracy. Have you read about the reply of a prime minister to the emperor when asked the reason for choosing his enemy as the chief general, he was the right man for the job? And Dr Ling was the Transport Minister then, Mind you one of the opposition political party which made the loudest noise was DAP. Uncle Lim Kit Siang, what say you??? As simple as that🤷🏽‍♀️ This happening in Singapore, NEVER!! Hence, the obvious difference between PAP and DAP.

All these issues exist in every governments even in Singapore

In the past, contracts were awarded without due diligence. We have had heard so often contracts were given out because of political connections, familial connections, subtle and tacit coercion and even promises of kickback. Due diligence has shown Asia Mobiliti is qualified in all aspects.

Mahathir set the standard. His children profited from government contracts. Father of modern Malaysia say this is OK.

The issue is about the appearance of a Direct Negotiation contract from the preachers of Open Tenders from their Opposition days. A 'Transparent' Direct Nego contract is still Nepotism. In a World where we practice Open Tender even for a much more complicated project like HSR, there is absolutely no reason to not practice the same in this case. The way to move forward: 1. Announce that an Open Tender for the real contract to happen after the Proof of Concept phase is over no matter how brilliant any of the 2 companies perform. or; 2. Asia Mobility to announce that they wont participate beyond the Proof of Concept phase of this project. Do not be the Devil you swore to slay many years ago.

Damage has been done as none wants to speak out and clarify at the initial stage. Today Hannah didnt want to comment just make people thinks there are things to cover up.

It was clear that the DRT project got by her husband and it not a secret anymore. So whether YB Hanna Yeoh step down or cancel the project given to her husband company. Both of them got no credibility & integrity and also the Selangor state government didn't practice good governance. SPRM should not only probe on this matter bat also have to probe others project & contract that already awarded by Selangor government.

If my spouse is a capable entrepreneur and I am a minister of sport. Why would I want to stop her from tendering state contract when I am a federal minister for sport? Many people still confused between state affair and federal affair. It is even funny that people say it is conflict of interest.

Politicians' relatives (spouses/relatives) shouldn't be involved in government's contracts especially in their own ministries. You cannot avoid living-room or bedroom talks. It's akin to insiders information.

the only solution to cronyism is the separation of economy and state. Let the free market work it self out. People are self determine. the government just need to get out of the way and protect property rights/safety. As long as a central power is allow to choose winners using the wealth and production of others (tax/money printing), there will be cronies. Everything else is just noise, good for politician, bad for everyone else.

It seems like the problem arise from the issue was not addressed in this episode. A lot of DAP principles and brand as the white knight has been backtracked once they've come in power. It's not about controlling the narrative at this point, it's about accountability to what they have preached as opposition once upon a time. Quite disappointing. I guess politicians on any side is as good as the people allow them to be.

😮🙏 The Mobiliti case was a two qualified tech companies selected to run trial tests & reviewed before being deem to award the tender contract to the one which is the more capable tech company to manage this project. The contract has not yet be awarded & the testings & future signing of contract are under the Transport , Science & Technology or other relevant Ministries. YB MP Hannah Yeoh is a Youth & Sport Minister , she is not involved in the selection nor awarding the contract unlike some who awarded National Project contracts to their family members under Previous Governments! In the World of internet nowadays , the World can see & hear the real going on for themselves! 😮🙏🕯🌍🇲🇾

Actually the issue here is because of the awarded process didn't go through proper way which is open tender method and this method has been highlighted by DAP or the minister since long time ago, and the only different is previously act as opposition and now as government? Doesn't matter on how efficient and how great they provide the service since November 2023. The public would like to know with what kind of reason the open tender method doesn't kick start at the initial stage? Until today, the agency name APAD seem like haven't clarified the solid reason why there are only 2 companies in Malaysia which successfully obtained the valid license, any specific reason or requirement which other company in Malaysia unable to go through?
