Please do worst of political parties where you can look at some google reviews of politicians' electorate offices and have a laugh at how angry these conservatives are towards Labor MPs, etc. I'm a Labor supporter so this is meant to be comedy where we need to laugh at how ridiculous conservatives attack the people who get the job done.

I once had an elderly patient in the ER report me to management because I looked tired and she asked about it. I told her it was a busy day. To her, I was therefore complaining about my job. They can see something and find the diamond in the rough that they can use to then go complain to the manager. Nurses aren’t allowed to feel like they’re busy when they’re busy. There we go.

That's what you get for breaking the illusion that you're a customer service robot without feelings. The boomers were pretty sure that we all agreed to pretend that was the case while at work, and now _you're_ breaking character... "I stayed in character as a robot at my job for 40 years, but you can't? and while I'm dying no less! I'm off the clock, and people on the clock are supposed to be servants to people off the clock, that was the deal! You kids today are so entitled and lazy! I had to follow this social contract when it didn't benefit me and now that we're to the part where it _does_ benefit me you're trying to tell me we're not doing that anymore? Not fair! Not fair!" Etc. Etc. Yeah boomers suck.

I really enjoyed this video However the really sad thing about this is that these political staffers spend a minimum of 3 years at University studying politics etc, just so they can end up working for some dodgy politician that they would never vote for and having to deal with all of this nonsense day after fucking day. I have a friend, that I knew from when I was at UNE studying computing science, that was doing an arts degree in Ancient History that ended up being a lecturer at UNE, but while he was doing his degree and waiting to get the Lecturing job, he worked as a Staffer for Ray Chappel who was the National party member for the Northern Tablelands of NSW from 1987 until 1999. Every time we would catch up he would tell me about the latest office gossip, but then one year I told him something that made his eye's roll. I was looking for share accommodation so I answered an add in the local newspaper and ended up living with Ray Chappel's daughter who assumed that I would also be her live in fukboy that she could also share with her BFF's. As I was already in a relationship I rejected that idea and lasted about 2 months before she got the shits and kicked me out.

  • @CaptainPhatt

@@Elitist20 I'm don't understand why he got an OAM because his nickname was Mirror, because whenever someone asked him a question his response was always the same. "I'll look into it." He was one of the most useless politicians I have ever met, and the only reason he held his seat for so long was because he was a member of the National party in a seat that was full of die hard National voters. When I was in the Army reserve whilst studying at UNE I was given an award for being the best soldier in the regiment and Ray Chappell presented it to me at the annual formal dinner. The worst part was that I had to shake his hand and pretend to smile while he presented to me. I know a few Vietnam war veterans that have also been awarded OAM's that would be very unhappy to know that a bludging politician like Ray Chappell has also been awarded the OAM.

When I was a 22 y.o. electorate officer there was a job available in the Protocol Dept. of PM & Cabinet, within the gift of the party: it was essentially a sinecure to allow for an extra political hand. Among the duties was making tea and coffee for cabinet. I said (jokingly) I was going to apply for it, because I thought Hawke would be hilarious on Acid. I was called in for an interview without coffee and biscuits by Senator Robert Ray. He saw the funny side.

100% chance of that being the case if you ask me, I'm saying it because violence from animals is chronic where I live. I once worked for a *Undisclosed* Local council, managing the letters and emails that were directed to the councillors. A few weeks beforehand, a rates increase just came into effect, and while one of my co-workers was sorting the physical mail, I heard a bunch of swearing in the next room. Someone had just shit in a envelope and addressed it to the counsellors office. The councillor called the police and demanded a full investigation into who did this, not even mentioning the person who opened it in the first place. They eventually were able to track down the person to a disgruntled farmer in our constituent who was "Protesting" the outrageous rates hike to his property. So now, when we open up physical mail, we have full gloves, lab coats and even a fucking sealed glove box to make sure nothing like this happens again. Pay was alright though.

Sometimes the chef will share with the delivery driver and prolong the "cooking" period to make both our jobs easier, but still. Tip if you can, though i aint mad if you dont ;)

I had my first call at 6am, was meant to knock off at 2pm but it was a long weekend and the swap meet was in town so a lot of calls happening. the arvo shift guy had to clock on at 1pm and help me it was that busy. anyway, 6pm rolls around and I'm on my last call. A boomer lady, tells me I look tired, I just say "yeh been a busy day, got my first call at 6am" She says "12 hours, that's far too long to be working", I reply "its all good, more money for car parts" Anyway, Monday rolls around and she took it upon herself to call my asshole boss and complain to him about poor treatment etc and I get pulled into the office and ripped a new one by him.

A few years ago, I was doing some work experience at a local councillors office, we went out door knocking/saying hi to constituents and in the news that week. A murder has taken place and the police had urged nearby residents to check their bins for the victims discarded clothes. We knocked on one lady’s door who didn’t want to chat but before closing the door, she warned us not to knock on the next door neighbours door as that was were the murder took place. We quietly walked past and noticed the entire front of the house was covered is fingerprint dust.

I nominate the Teaching profession. I can't describe the cornucopia of clusterfucks that I encounter - and that's _leaving out_ the weirdness of kids and their culpable 'parents'. It got to a point where I took photos, of some high(low)lights. Yes, I can fwd some of these, if you're interested, Jordies team.

That deer story has to be about Lee Evans, Liberal member for Heathcote in NSW Parliament. There’s deer in Heathcote, and it doesn’t sound like Shire Council would bother with that. Is it their job to anyway? I’m not sure.

Heres my way of figuring out if someone is capable of being a politician. Ask a yes or no question. Do you like to walk? Normal people: "Yeah, if I've the time." Politicians: "Ah, see, that's the question, isn't it? On one hand, i like walking and enjoying my time in this great country. Feeling the comforting air and seeing the faces of like-minded citizens. But these days you can't go anywhere because of the (insert party they disagree with) causing everything to fall apart! And it's led to me having little to no time to do so, as i must spend it every day trying to find ways to better this nation!"

I really, sincerely appreciate someone who's willing to not take the lazy easy crowd-pleading "guvmint bad, therefore anyone mad at guvmint good" mentality. Having worked in a local council Highways complaints department, I've found that the people who despise the government the most are also the people who treat it as a free therapist.
