I agree the "thank you" is adorable. Also his voice in general is so nice.

And then they go to the cave find food and NOTHING HAPPENS! Yep! Odysseus is reunited with his beloved family early and EVERYONE is definitely ALIVE! Polites is living his best life! Yep haha... nothing bad ever happens! Cause why would it?! Haha this is definitely how it ends! No other ending exists! I'm sure! Anyways great animatic!

Polites is my favorite character in Epic! If you listen closely, you can hear one of the lotus eaters saying "scary cave" after the others say "cave," warning Polites about the Cyclops, but he doesn't hear it. I named that one lotus eater Tiny :) 🪷

The LIGHTING!!! also I like the detail of the seeds being, you know, glowing. Usually people just draw it without adding that in. And I love the scar on Odysseus, great design. Your Polites is too precious honestly,,,

Up until now, I never realised how eerie the glowing lotus seeds actually are until they are drawn this way. Like wow, even _I_ am unsettled at how unnatural they looked.

Been reading the Odyssey and even rereading it but with different translations for the fun of it. XD (genuinely interesting how just a few words can change the tone of a story. "Odysseus lied." VS. "Odysseus, Man of many councils, said." ) I want all the research I can get before I start creating stuff of my own as well. Having a lot of fun with this old af story! Happy others are too!

i want to eat the lotus eaters. they look so squishy and may have a gummy bear taste. i imagine that they would have a gummy bear appearance too, about the size of one but slightly larger in weight. they’d actually taste like the red haribo gummies, having a faint mango taste to it to mimic the lotus at some degree.
