Polishing the headlights and other random tasks for Whiskey Juliet. WJ Project part 13a@hobbyprison

Continuing to wait for the machine shop to do their thing for the 4.7 so I'm doing other things that need to be done. In this part I polish both headlights, start to fix the crack in the grill, take of the wiper arms, and remove the roof rails.
I would not recommend buying a headlight resto kit. Seems like a waste of money to me. The one I purchased from Harbor Freight Tools was alright but the sanding discs were small and they filled up with residue quickly. I did like the polishing pad though. The kit was almost 15 bucks and a 3" polishing pad doesn't cost that much. I recommend buying several grits of wet/dry sand paper:400, 600, 1000, 1500, and if you don't have a polishing pad then finish off with 3000 grit wet/dry paper. Also buy a flexible sanding block. I dry sanded the right headlight and wet sanded the left headlight and the left headlight is noticeably clearer. The Headlight Restoration Pro guy likes to just dry sand but I got better results wet sanding. However, he's a professional and I'm not. I probably wasn't doing it right.
Also, do not buy the Meguiar's headlight resto kit. The discs and cleaner are a waste of money. You can buy just the clear sealer. I imaging the cleaner and the discs that are in the Meguiar's kit would be used when touching up your headlights. According to the manufactured the headlights need to be refreshed once a year.
