    Technician's Choice has been kind of a low key secret pro brand but now they're blowing up and I think it's just getting started. They deserve it I just hope the prices don't go crazy. 580 has already gone up. But Tec 580 is still an awesome bargain! I've been using it for awhile. I'd say it's an almost perfect coating for a beginner/DIY as well. Super easy and forgiving. No grabbing or tacky feel. Goes on and wipes off smooth and easy with no pressure. Nearly impossible to get in trouble, with no guesswork on when to remove, you can clearly and easily see the beading effect when it's ready. Cures to a very slick surface for a base coating too. Plus it smells like a Christmas tree. 😁 Great video, thanks Phil! 👍👌✌

    On the black engine crank case. If he picks up a product called hogspit.. You apply that from time to time or when your detailing your bike and it actually bakes into the metal finish and you won't get that white fading old look.. really really makes it keep that OEM new look for the life of yr bike (Hog- spit)

    Fantastic job. I've done 4 motorcycles and they are a pain. I've got some questions: 1. What can you use on windshield to remove scratches? They scratch extremely easy. 2. How did you clean, polish, protect painted wheels? Extreme pain! 3. Did you do anything with the rubber floorboards? High traffic area. 4. Did you protect headlight? Bug central! Anything you can tell me really helps. When the guys left with their bikes, all their friends want bikes polished. Harley folks are really proud of their bikes. Again, Fantastic Job!

  • @MirandaDetailing

    @MirandaDetailing

    3 жыл бұрын

    Thanks! Yeah they can really be a challenge sometimes. 1. On the windscreens you can actually compound and polish those like car headlights. They are plastic. 2. For wheels mostly by hand. We had to move the bike up to get to the entire wheel. 3. We simply clean any foot pedals. No dressing or anything which could cause slip hazards. 4. The headlight, and all the rest of the painted and chrome areas are protected with either a sealant or coatings. The leather seat and plastic dash areas we used matte finish conditioners. Dr Beasley’s makes a great leather cream and plastic conditioner that leaves no greasiness at all. bit.ly/3brqLrX bit.ly/2ZFahak You can use whatever sealants or coatings you use on the painted, and glossy plastic, and chrome areas.

  • @MirandaDetailing

    If it’s oxidation on bare aluminum we try polishing it by hand with a meta polish and microfiber applicator. But the oxidation is too much we don’t bother to go further because that’s a whole other thing to polish bare aluminum.

    Hi Phil. Have you tried spraying Gyeon Wetcoat on motorcycles as a hydrophobic coating? Spray Wetcoat on, pressure wash off, dry off by using an air hose and an mf towel. I would probably first cover the seats with a plastic bag before spraying the coating on. I haven’t tried that method yet but in theory it should work. As you said, it’s impossible to get into some areas with the applicator pad but spraying a liquid should definitely help a lot with that problem. Just wondering if you or anybody else has tried that. If that works it would open up a whole new market for me. 🤩

  • @MirandaDetailing

    @MirandaDetailing

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi. As long as you make sure to remove all of the polish from those crevices you will be fine. Anytime there is polish residue or build up in crevices it’s caused by user error and not the product. I take time to go through each crevice with a towel and small thin tool to get extra build up possibly left behind. 👍🏼😎

    The TC580 bears a striking resemblance to Owner’s Pride ceramic coating which I believe is a 7+ year coating. If it actually is the same product the 580 is the bargain of the century! Look up Scott H on here to see an ongoing comparison of these and many other products for durability. He has a pile of test panels in the elements down in Texas. It’s no Miranda Detailing but he has some useful comparisons.
