In the next episode of TropiDog tips we will take you on a journey to Podhale, where the kennel of Polish Tatra Dogs run by the Pańszczyk family is located. The Polish Tatra dog is called by many people the king of Polish dog breeds, mainly because of its majestic and magnificent look. The image of the Polish Tatra dog can also be seen in the logo of the National Polish Kennel Club. In this episode we will present the history of this breed of dogs, discuss their characteristics features and nutritional and nursing requirements. My dear friend who was born in Kraków, Poland had a dog like that named Browar. They've spent every free minute together, especially enjoying his place upstate, NY which was very similar terrain wise to where he grew up back in Poland. The dog was forever chasing coyotes away from the property and really enjoyed running thru the woods. When the dreaded time came and Browar passed I had to help carry him to the car because he was so massive. Also only time I've ever saw my friend cry.

Polish? What? In Slovakia they have the same breed and they call it Slovak Cuvac. BTW Polish lowland sheepdog is the king of Polish breeds.

Well They are diffrent, Polish tatra sheepdog is usualy bigger than Slovak cuvac + Polish tatra sheepdog is 600 years older. www.dog-learn.com/breed-vs-breed/slovak-cuvac-vs-polish-tatra-sheepdog/

Cuvac and Polish Tatra are different breeds.

They are different breeds. There's a lot of dog breeds that looks similar on the first sight but differ in build, character traits or even usage for example: Great Pyrenees, Maremma Sheepdog, Akbash dog (long fur) or Kuvasz. The fact that they're all big white dogs doesn't make them one breed. Also they are all officially registered breeds.
