Polish Safe 2-Step Touchless Truck Wash - w/Detailed Walk Around

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This week, we wanted to take the chance to make a more educational video with full transparency. After the wash, we had Todd walk around the truck to point out all the spots he missed and explain the outcome plus ways to avoid sub-optimal results. We zoom in and go into detail on how we messed up so you can avoid it during your wash jobs. Time stamps below so you can skip to the parts you want to see. Thanks for checking us out!

    Congratulations on the new business!! Glad you find this helpful. We do all of our 2-step touchless washes with cold water. The only time we would use hot water would be for heavy degreasing or for the rinse portion of the process. 99% of the time, we stick to cold water.

    Hey Dan the PSI is certainly within the parameters of both of the foam cannons we offer, the only issue is your GPM is higher than they can handle which can certainly impact the performance of the foam cannons.

    Thanks for taking us through the truck with the post-wash inspection. Quick question, if I wanted to go 100% clean and break out the mitts, is it still okay to leave the 2 step on there (with the neutralizer), or should I significantly reduce the areas that I spray at a time?

  • @ImageWashProducts

    @ImageWashProducts

    2 жыл бұрын

    Great question. First of all, thanks for watching the video. Glad to hear the extra effort we put in with the post wash inspection was worth it. We appreciate the feedback. Although the pH will be neutral after using both steps, we still don’t recommend getting the chemicals all over your hands/arms, as is typical with a mitt wash. If you plan to mitt the vehicle anyway, we’d use our other soap, Platinum Wash. It’s a super high lubricity soap that’s perfect for mitt washing. A lot of times, we will bust out a hog hair brush to get some of those areas too difficult to hit with the proper rinse angle. Hope this answers your question.👍

  • @williamham2591

    @williamham2591

    Жыл бұрын

    You need to down stream the chemicals on and use a dual lance wand so you can adjust the pressure on demand. You can add an upstream chemical injector to your machine for about $50 and you will speed up the cleaning process by about 50%. If you can use at least warm water, you will get much better results A truck like this will normally take about 20 minutes to clean with one personIf you are going at a medium pace.

    Is this ok to use on a rig that's been ceramic coated?

  • @ImageWashProducts

    @ImageWashProducts

    2 жыл бұрын

    Yes! Absolutely. This is the preferred way to wash ceramic coated vehicles since you're not putting any friction to the surface with a brush or mitt. Touchless washes come out WAY cleaner when the vehicle has wax or ceramic coatings.

    Will the step 1 etch any glass? Though I heard in another video to apply step 2 on all glass before applying step one, is this true?

  • @ImageWashProducts

    @ImageWashProducts

    2 жыл бұрын

    We have never expereinced etching of glass with our step 1. It's a very gentle step 1 made up of organic acids. So it's less aggressive on things like glass or polished aluminum. As always though, make sure to test on a small section before using it on the whole truck. Never know what kind of environmental factors may be specific to your setup/water/etc. Thanks for your question!

    Hey Pedro! It simply wouldn't make sense to sell 16oz bottles for us. If we did, they would be priced at $20ish per bottle, so $40 for both step 1 and 2, which ends up costing the end user $80/gallon when you do the math... Those are insane prices most of our customer's would not want to pay. That's why we make videos like this with full transparency and a detailed walk through afterwards so you can see exactly the kind of results you can expect before you commit.
