Lovely expressive and well defined touch on the lute....a bit refreshing after Dowland's omnipresent legato...
The soothing sound of the Lute ; from a quieter age ! Wondrous ! xxxxxxx
It's so gently and magnificent!
Thanks for uploading world heritage music. ขอบคุณครับ (Thank you in Thai.).

Exceptional. Many of these are as good as Dowland or Narvaez. Beautifully played.

Il fraseggio di Konrad Ragossnig è sempre bello, chiaro e preciso, uno dei migliori liutisti del nostro tempo.
"Jan Kochanowski with Ursula" by Władysław Łuszczkiewicz - look up "Renaissance in Poland" in Wikipedia and you'll see the painting.

STRUMENTO STRAORDINARIO....
Same lute as Julian Bream in those days ... A great lute forerunner with much classical guitar right hand technic. I have the CDs. For what concerns the pieces by Hans Neusidler, Konrad Ragossnig did even better with the help of " tambour de basque etc... small percussions " added to the lute in an LP which seems not have been converted into a CD. Great thanks ! All the best ...

I drive around my neighborhood blasting this out my car window, nobody complains! When I hear this I wanna party like its 1699!!! woo hoo
I love!

Yeah - thanks I was wondering about that too, cause I have the first track in written music from Chilesotti's "Italian" lute transcriptions on page 8 of his codice--(whatever that last word means?). It is one of my favorite songs -- just dripping with renaissance flavor.
Really relaxing and great music the guitar sounds is so awesome

You're such an intelligent person, I swear, it's baffling. Going up to someone you've seen in your life and saying shit like this. 1) I'm not Jewish, I'm 100% Polish. Just because you can't find reasonable arguments to counter my my anti-German argumentation doesn't make me Jewish. 2) I'm a Polish nationalist, not a white nationalist. White nationalism is just an excuse for a pan-Europeanism 3) Both of my parents are art graduates with masters degrees.
Q maravilhosa
Great music. --Does anyone know the name and year of the painting? --Thanks
Anyone else feel like hopin' into the animus and have fun with Ezio Auditore in renaissance Roma or Firenze after listening to this?:)
that is batter than music of these last days
It sounds as if you are using your nails rather than finger tips. I personally prefer it as it gives a greater tonal range but I know the purists don't approve. Do you know if there are any records of renaissance lutenists using their nails?

Could somebody tell me, what's the title of this painting? :)
Magnifica música e interpretación. Pero varios de los autores no son polacos ni húngaros, sino alemanes
Why is this called Polish/Hungarian Lute Music, when the first composer is Italian, and the last three composers are Austrian or German (it's true, you can google that). Also, the last three song names are in german? The second last translates to 'Welsh dance' and the last one to 'German dance'. I mean no offense, but those songs are not connected to Hungary or Poland, and it's literally 4 out of 6 songs. Half of the songs are in the category of German Renaissance Lute Music (you can look that up aswell). And it's so obvious too, just look at the names. _Hans, Hans, Matthäus_

@@TheTimeDetective42 "Wojciech". "A(da)lbert" is a false German-like tradicional translation of the name. Nothing incommon liguistically, but only because of a personal-historic situation of one Wojciech (baptised baby) and one Adalbert (godfather) somewhere in the past. If ever, "Wojciech" should be given back as "Siegfried" (literally "Kampffreud").

Hola.
Wow! East-Germany you say? And Poles are the one's who see their borders in Amsterdam and Moscow? Really? The only time Toruń (that is the Slavic name, and Toruń was originally Slavic) was truly German, was during the partitions, not when Copernicus was alive, nor during the lives of his parents. Toruń, until 1466, was under the rule of the Ordo domus Sanctæ Mariæ Theutonicorum Hierosolymitanorum, it's true; but Copernicus fought against the order.
the first track is italian
