Fireworks are not made out of metal improvised or not and if it really was one of those novelty black powder cannons that doesn’t make sense either because in an environment like that you are not going to load it with a projectile it would be essentially just the powder and the wadding which is just some felt usually but no projectile so essentially just a blank or sometimes referred to as a signal cannon meaning it makes noise nothing else as many of those novelty cannons have on the casting that they are not meant to fire a real projectile and the ones that are cost significantly more than the novelty ones
