Doesn't matter if you are concealing your identity on purpose because you are allowed unless a section 60aa has been initiated already for that area.... *Under the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act, an officer who is an inspector (or higher rank) can authorise orders under section 60 and section 60AA. The orders can only be authorised for a specified period of up to 24 hours and for a specified place and must be made in writing and signed by the officer authorising them.* so this officer couldn't lawfully force you to take off your mask regardless of whether you were concealing your identity or not.

I did think after watching it back that it needed to be authorised by an inspector and was usually for events like the thousand mask march for example. I found it unbelievably ironic that he says he’s a Human Rights activist and then asked me to remove it 3/4 times.

@@AbsoluteAudits Yes he was a bit hypocritical but at least he respected your rights in the end once he realised that not only did you know your rights but had official paperwork to back your right to take pictures there. I've been there a couple of times now and got a reaction both times that didn't really need to happen. Being that you are quite local to me and my area I think you should maybe try Cosham ? I'm hoping that they have the message by now especially after my last visit but you never know, maybe they just know me so might act differently to someone new.

Taking your photograph is a means of identifying you so you are not required to assist him for that reason alone. Even if you haven't got a record it is possible that photo recognition software will ID you. I suspect that it may be better than the govt says. If you have a driving licence or passport your face has been digitised and stored.

Mate. Your style is fantastic. I've watched most of the USA and UK auditors, and your manner is impeccable. Please keep it real and sane. Avoid the temptation to overly provoke the plods. It seams most auditors start out rather timid, and then start pushing the boundaries further and further.... And I'm sure they then generate more content this way, but it's poor quality content, and generally poor form. From what I've seen of the UK cops, they're far more likely to reveal their ignorance and incompetence if you keep your cool. Remember that your subjects are the 'content providers'. UK cops seem genuinely stunned when the public can quote the law. I love it when auditors carry written copies of legeslation, and interpretations/memos. Quoting previous relevant legal cases is also an excellent idea. In moments when cops act dishonesty/irrationally, many auditors seem to either pause for a reflective comment, or add a written comment ... I think the written comments are better, as they don't ruin the continuity. IMO the best footage is unedited and continuous, and has a good amount of footage before contact, so as the viewer can see the true context. Also... How about saying "I'm an advocate for public photography, and an advocate for people knowing and asserting their legal rights". To me, this sounds more accurate and dignified.
