That police woman is the best. Stupid tourists. Stupid parents for letting their children get close to the horse. Tourists should not touch the horse.

Because they are. They work with the Kings guard there it’s an army barracks. That’s why they are dressed and equipped the way they are versus regular police. If you follow any of these channels especially John’s London City Walks he has shared this information time and time again. He’s very informative.

These poor horses, have to put up with licking someone's dirty, bacteria infested hands. It's natural for them to think they are grabbing a treat. I wonder how many times the tourists, would do that to a dog. Thank you Abdullah, for filming our precious lady MOD officer, taking care of business.

Well said police lady these people have no idea about these animals and seem to think that the way to treat a horse is to stroke its very delicate nose roughly, stick their hand under the horses mouth with nothing for it to eat the wonder why they get bitten, stick their fingers up the horses nostrils, nearly poke the poor horse in the eye because they are looking at the photographer, hold or pull the horses head, hold the bridle or hold and pull the reins. These poor animals make it perfectly plain that they do not want their faces touched at all, let alone have them rubbed so hard they nearly remove the coat. When a horse pushes you away it means it doesn't want you anywhere near it. This is why I object so strongly to anyone being near or touching the horse, it is working along with the guard/gunner on it back. I think there should be a perimeter around the horse and nobody allowed to enter it, if they do they will be fined. Standing at the bollards and having the picture taken is the only place to stand. Why the heck do these people want people to believe it is their horse with a Gunner or a Trooper sitting on the horses back. I have worked with horses for some time and recognise the anxiety that this brings to them, also I love them and of course would love to hug and stroke them, but I would respect the rights of the guard and horses personal space, as I would any other animal or human being. It is about time these people were told not to go near these horses at all. The constant chatter and silly antics really annoys me so how the horses must feel about it would I think be much the same. If people don't know or are not sure how to behave around these beautiful intelligent animals that are in a constant state of anxiety and on the edge of bolting they should keep away, also if the person shows fear or fright the horses will be instantly on edge and wonder why, the horse in the normal run of things would remove itself by either moving away or bolting. If they were people they would be screaming, instead they show their unhappiness by chewing the bit, weaving from side to side, tossing their heads (this doesn't mean they are saying yes by the way) moving away from the offending person, banging their hooves on the ground, attempting to bite and or kick and as the last ditch effort acting up by coming out of the box and trying to unseat the rider so they can get away. This to me and to many other people witnessing this is the worst case of animal a abuse ever. I have also worked with abused horses, and these reactions are just the tip of the iceberg and like an iceberg the biggest bit is under the surface, in this case the mental state of these animals! It makes me both angry and sad to see the disrespect show to both the horse and guard😡🤬😢

I'm SO GLAD that you mentioned the obvious signs of anxiety that these horses exhibit, along with the rest of your excellent comment!! The regular head bobbing, bit chewing, nipping and biting by Ormonde and a few others, etc. are classic signs of an unhappy horse. I've seen comment after comment, made by people who seem to be incensed at the accusation that these horses could possibly be mistreated. The problem is that they are clearly being mistreated by many of the tourists, but people just don't want to hear it, under any circumstances. Thanks again for your wonderful comment!! 💯 💯 💯 💥 🙂

That woman at 20:20 was so rude!!! Instead of backing away until the 2 soldiers were done with their private conversation, she just stood there too close to the soldier and she was in the way!! I guess her Mommy and Daddy never taught her manners!! and she stayed there the entire time. even after the soldier left, the woman was still there!! It seemed like she was up there for quite awhile!!

Plus the horse gave her a nudge with its nose @ 25:08 in an attempt to tell her to push off!!!

I can't believe the coats on these bays, the dapples are gorgeous! Whatever feed routine they are on is working! The women gunners must spend hours grooming them.

The guards need to be stopping that behavior! They just sit there and do nothing. I'll be glad when HCAV returns

Most of these guards don’t seem to be at all bothered about tourists terrorising their horses. In fact they just look bored to tears sitting there.

I had read somewhere in this post that the guards are no longer allowed to yell at tourists. I am not sure that is a true statement so take with a grain of salt.

Well, if the guards aren't allowed to stop the tourists or yell at them, they might as well just lead the horses out there and leave them to the idiots. I don't watch these guards. I don't understand just sitting there, doing nothing.

I watched a programme once where it was said that the guards on the horses get fined if they have to shout to not touch the reigns whilst on duty, please correct me if I am wrong it was just something I remember seeing

It was annoying after being warned about the reins to hear the woman say, i know, i know. But I agree it was a very long wait.

So we had to watch 26 min for a second

The real answer is to NOT touch the reigns, not to tell them not to 'pull' on the reigns......the tourist are stupid and this response means for them its ok to hold onto the reigns!

The officer told her not to pull on the reins, or pull on the horses head. I can't tell for sure about the reins as she can't be clearly seen, but she definitely was grasping the horse's head when the horse head-butted her! 😂
