POLICE INVESTIGATION AND LIFEGUARD RESCUE AT HAULOVER INLET !! BOAT ZONE

Ойын-сауық

Haulover Inlet in Florida is a popular spot for experienced boaters seeking a thrill. Known for its challenging conditions and strong currents, the inlet connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway and is famous for its rough waves and strong winds, which can make boating hazardous. Despite the risks, many boaters are drawn to the inlet's challenging conditions and the opportunity to navigate through it.

Great job by this lifeguard. It's no different where i live up here on Cape Cod, MA. You need to respect the ocean and get to understand tide/current charts. Because i've said it before if the ocean wants you it will have you. No matter how good a swimmer you may be.

Hi, I'm from sweden and I love these clips. And they are so funny to watch because one thing sticks out for us.. the number of outboard engines you Americans put on a boat. We are like this: "-is one 130hp Yamaha enough?" And the sales man says "-well it's recommended with a 115-140hp" and then we have you Americans on the same size and type of boat "-hey man, can I put three 350hp on this one?" And the sales says "-hey, why not four 400hp engines, we can surely find the space for one extra engine.." and you answer "sure, go for it... I think a single engine boat must be a poor mans boat in America..🤣🤣🤣

I had the Coast Guard Station Cortez do a safety inspection on the Manatee River last year. It was a weekday so it was probably for training because there weren't many on the river. They were very cordial and professional. We went through "the list" and all was good. When I mentioned that I was a US Navy vet, one looked at the other and said, "Yeah, he's squared away. We're done." We chatted for a bit and I asked for one of their hats. They politely said they couldn't and we broke away. A minute later one signaled for me to come back and handed over a hat. Cool guys, just doing their jobs. 😎

@@BoatZone very good all 3 times. Our access to the Gulf was out Gordon Pass in Naples. The Marine Patrol and Sheriff inspections were checking for illegal fish. We had a 26ft Offshore with twin 225's and we were set up for fishing. We were catch and release so the inspections were short and very professional. They were more interested in the boat it seemed so they were very cool interactions. The Coast Guard stop was basically a safety inspection and that was very intimidating at rhe start but turned into a very memorable encounter. It's very awe inspiring to see the Coasties up close and personal. I'll never forget it. Thanks for asking, I havnt thought about those days in quite a while. Be safe out there!

Boat boardings are straightforward & painless as long as you are able to: 1) readily produce proper paperwork 2) Prove you have USCG approved PFDs in appropriate sizes for all aboard. 3) All children aboard are *Properly Wearing* their PFDs 4) Captain of vessel has not been drinking/is sober 5) You do not have more people on boat than what your boat manufacturer recommends. 6) Extra points if you can show Captain -and any adult/teen children aboard have taken & passed USCG run boating safety courses.

There are people who live on boats, so what I read is officers are allowed to board vessels without a warrant well then would it be the same, for a house in the USA? I been spending my time looking at liveaboards, so I know it is possible, for people to live on boats. If it is illegal, for an officer to enter a house without a warrant then it should also be illegal, for boarding a boat without a warrant. A boat like what is shown on the video where the officers are boarding does not look like it can be lived on to me. I know there are American boats that people can live on. I am looking at different American boats inside, and outside, and I am considering getting an American boat, for me, so I can tell which boats can be lived on by inspecting it. I think small boats like the one on the video should be dangerous to be used, for travelling in, and out of countries do to its size, and ability to travel on water. If people want to risk losing their own lives then, so be it!

There are a few exceptions to the need for search warrants. The boarder an ocean is treated differently than inside the country. There is also a safety check exemption. You also see roadblocks working under that exemption. But just like RVs, they generally stay out of the home section if they can't articulate a good reason to look in there. The last one that matters has to do with hunting an fishing. It doesn't make sense, but courts tend to treat those sports as giving up some rights. As a rule, it's illegal to stop someone to check for a license. But the court seems to think it's ok to do it to fisherman.
