Unfortunatley modern meets seem to be mainly antisocial. Its a shame the wrong crowd is attracted now. I remember car meets being mostly static, really chilled and quiet. You could walk about with your mates having a chat and actaully be able to hear them, you'd show off your new mods and wander around checking out everyone elses cars. Now it seems its just a competition who can do the biggest sends or make the most noise banging off the limiter. No ones interested in your car unless youre popping and banging the fuck out of it and everyone just crowds around the exit. Most of the cars (in my opinion) arent anything intersting, just generic everyday traffic with the same generic mods and usually all financed. As much as I love cars, I cant blame the Police and local's for hating this scene now, the noise in unbearable. Its a shame meets evolved this way.

Yeah, back in the day you never really heard people hit the limiter, if they did during a rev it was an accident and they didn't really mean to do it... Now kids just sit there for 10 seconds straight on the limiter.

Yup, even as a Car Enthusiast, if some Derrek wakes me up at gone 2 in the Morning with his Pop and Bang Mapped Fart Canon Finance Purchase Hyundai isomethingN trying to see if he can attract any "ladies" before he then attempts to see if he can get it through the Soundbarrier instead on leaving the meet when they all SMH at him.... I am *Going* to call Five Oh! So I do not blame the Locals at all, because when even Car Enthusiasts call *Enough* on these "meets", then the non Car community is well within their rights to say "No more" to them!!

If it's fun to watch for you, you're not much different to those who watch it in person.

I don't think i'll ever understand the appeal of going to a very poorly lit place in the middle of nowhere, with an even worse surface, to then stand a few foot away from people with very little skill attempting to do doughnuts and show off, without any sort of safety barriers. Even when these sort of things take place in places with lighting and a better surface, in better weather, I feel like a whole generation of people have just never seen the many, many vids of similar events when someone loses all control and just flies off into the crowed.

Me either. Same reason I don't like concerts or clubs. Can have infinitely more fun on an empty back road at 2am without bothering anyone else

Adam, have you done a video at Santa Pod on the Drift What You Brung days? I've not seen one but I think that'd be good content. For a start it's in the daytime so you can actually see what's happening, the action is really good, and the people are chill.

There is no war on motorists. Every kind of road vehicle except bicycles have increased this year. 1.6 million new cars registered. 400,000 people passed their test the first time. Department for Transport have a massive road building plan. Used car prices dropping through the floor. Cars are getting bigger, heavier, faster. Car financing is booming, record levels.

I love your channel (generally) but this sort of behaviour is just noisy pointless anti-social sh*t.. Car meets aren't what they used to be. There's no skill fitting an after market exhaust and a set of 6 port calipers. Get a Haynes manual, Totally strip down and rebuilt a Mk2 Escort. Then come back and talk to us. LOL
