I have never heard about violent criminals responding positively to any verbal requests or threats from the police or from politicians. Words without action are meaningless.

Shattas no fraid of the security forces anymore bossy.. you as the police has to reinstall that fear in them. Jamaicans need to come to the realization that it is the poor who are killing and dying while justice and rights groups Stan in the way.. just recently one of those groups shouting out loud that the police killed 50 Jamaicans. But not the number of Jamaicans killed by the criminals.... open unnu eye's

All bark with a single bite. The police are clueless and ineffective in dealing with crime. 1. because they themselves are compromised and 2. The love money rather than duty with integrity.

Why not hold the fathers responsible when a young boy turns to crime? As I type this another baby boy is being born who will in a few years living a life of crime. If a man knows that he will be held responsible for the child he had a role in bringing into the world, he will either be active in raising his child from birth, or he will think twice about having children he has no intention of being responsible for.

@@kgraamd My thoughts are on prevention of crime by deterrence. It's much more complicated than simply a father abandoning his son. There are the whys. I agree with you regarding Jamaica's perverted [in]justice system.

Strong words of warning , Hope the warning will be practical and not to scare the criminals off. Community policing should be reintroduced. On the other hand officers must be involved in social groups , efforts like these can stem the commission of crimes . Rivalry with gun men and visi versa only heighten the crime rate. Social workers/ criminologist can be useful

Police work is only a small part of crime fighting equation. What about the Justice systems the education and spiritual institutions. It is common knowledge that ALL the major gangs and criminal networks have their POLITICAL links.

Why doesn't the government saturate the Island with cameras?

@@omarmattis9069 help those in the Garson, can't save all but I'm active in my Charity foundation , every year we give out many things to show that many of us want change and also uplift in the best way I can ...born an raise kingston I never ever will forget were I come from.....coming this August we will be doing something in Duhaney park for everyone ......( ? To you how are they going to solve crime if 99% of politicians and police officers are criminals ? ( how long Jamaica have been running this fake independence? To stop crime you have start from the top ( Look into the UIC, that's the 3rd party, why not give them a chance) bless up yourself
