▶︎Police chase in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, England, UK, April 2020 - North Yorkshire Police has released video of a high speed police chase through Knaresborough to catch a man on a stolen motorbike. This week, Craig Hindson, from Ripon was jailed for 6 months and given a 15-month driving ban. The court had heard that he was driving like a “lunatic” of speeds of up to 80mph in built up areas to escape the police on an uninsured Kawasaki motorbike. Sergeant Julian Pearson of North Yorkshire Police’s Road Policing Group condemned Hindson’s dangerous driving, he said: “Hindson showed no regard whatsoever for other people’s safety. Such dangerous riding won’t be tolerated in North Yorkshire and I hope he uses the time in the prison to reflect on his actions, the danger he put other road users in and the potential fatal consequences of riding at such speeds.” During the police chase, Hindson taunted the pursuing officer by slowing down and “waving with his hand, indicating to pull over” - only to drop down the gears and speed off again. The video shows how the police vehicle managed to prevent Hindson pulling onto the A1 and instead the Kawasaki was forced into the end, where it came to a halt and Hindson was arrested.

Because in Britain we do not pit or ram anybody, especially bikers. Only if it’s taking to long or going to slow that means they ram the driver a tiny bit. But with bikers we do no ram or pit.

Every police officer in the uk would love to just drive into them and stop them but they aren’t allowed because that’s what they have been told. And they will get in trouble if they don’t stick to procedure

@@maxwynne01 haha back in the 90's they used to ram me off my bikes for speeding i got pins in my leg and a plate in my head still was only after a few people died cause they had no helmet on that they stopped trying to ram bikers till they was going slow and even then, they try and wait till you've stopped. but if the guy did more than just speeding like going on the path or in wrong lane they would of rammed him off as he was going slow they just followed him

Jailed for 6 months for that😂 unbelievable. If your licence plate is showing and they are right behind you pull the F over its not worth it and he could of been let off with a warning. Just read the description, a stolen motorbike🙄 no wonder his riding skills are shite.

@@paulnolan6866 it is but the registreation plate R620CVW is registered to a yellow R1. So probaly the reason he wasn't so keen to stop was that the bike was on stolen or false plates. Certainly not registered to a Kawasaki 600 or 900 (I think that bike is a 9, rather than a 6 but I can't be sure. Maybe a Kawasaki fan could confirm engine size).
This guy can't ride a motorcycle, anyone else would of lost them pretty easy on those roads

They don’t put the sirens on unless it’s a large vehicle and/or there’s heavy traffic or the vehicle is driving dangerously- which there was neither

Even then only a minority of police officers are trained to do so with a bike and even less to comfortably do it. That bike is way too big for it

The officer STILL had the courtesy to let him kick stand his bike. That wouldn't have happened in America that would have tackled the shit out of him for no reason. American police are afraid to fight. That's what happens when you quota hire. You get officers that physically cannot overtake a fully grown male that wants to fight
