Whereas most fire truck responses are in the U.S., most police are in the U.K. - it quite simply comes down to the fact that it would seem fire trucks respond much more than police in the U.S., whereas clearly in the U.K. police respond a lot more than fire engines. That and people are more likely to film fire apparatus then police vehicles.

Nice video ! (Here it is, hours away from June 1,2016 and DAMN I'm glad many of police departments have finally seen the light and are selling off those dumb looking SUV's ! Going back to 4 door sedans with V-8's or Turbocharged V-6's that will flat out haul ass and corner at high speeds as if the tires got glued to the pavement is the way to go for patrol units. Around where I live we're seeing LOTS of the new Dodge Charger's with the V-8 Hemi motors...they say the Charger has a 12 inch screen recessed into the dash that eliminates the need for the bulky computer screens attached to the dash up front . Now, once again 2 Officers can fit comfortably up front, and it's true, I had a ride in the front passenger seat of a new one just last night and I noticed the extra room right away, BTW I got the ride because I'm a retired copper with that department. The prisoner you ask ? Well police cars were never built for prisoner comfort, anyway the trip to the jail isn't long. Yeah the rear seats are a bit tight for a large prisoner , but don't do anything seriously bad and you'll never get cuffed and stuffed in the rear seat, to be serious tho, there's more room than you think, nobody is getting abused. I still see a very few departments still buying SUV's and the Ford Taurus Police Package, and a very few new Chevy's, but right now it looks like Dodge is the leader. Just my humble opinion and observations, I'm not trying to slam the Fords. The SUV's just don't handle like a sedan, and still have roll over accidents from time to time. Peace folks !

Those demand interceptor SUV's are not properly lit code 3. Headlight flashers are very effective and they are absent on those units.

Can't stand these driving christmas trees, complete waste of money. They are more distracting and it alarms residents by making any situation with the lights on look serious or dangerous. One solid blue lightbar on top, 6 LEDs, 2 in front grille, 2 aside the license plate, 2 on the sides above the front wheels. No need for the headlight and taillight police package, much cheaper to just add them after market.

When you live in a densely populated city with lots of traffic and pedestrians, emergency vehicles really need to be seen and heard when there is an emergency. They're meant to be distracting and meant to catch your eye so you can you can yield to the oncoming emergency vehicle well ahead of time improving the response time of said vehicle which is crucial.
