I am sudanese I heard what they said in the car!! They said she is using the camera like a phone and it’s dangerous to walk with a camera like this on the road a thief might come hit her and try to steal it so they talked to her in english but she didn’t respond and they found no other solution other than taking her to the station to keep her safe!! All the comments talking about bad behavior they were protecting her!

I am sure they arrested her for her own safety. She was just frustrated that she wasn't allowed to visit the place after coming from so far. Little bit of rant helps. Before her arrest she was very much praising the people of Sudan. That how nice and caring they are. She just didn't like the govt. rules imposed in that village. She said, that is not national rule.

She is such a fearless young person like all youngsters, that think they are invisible. There is always that 1% out of 99% that something goes bad. I wish her Surakshit yaarta. Khuda hafiz

Many areas in Africa are not safe to travel alone. They restricted you because of their own concerns. The police treated you well, didn't misbehave or interrogated you. It shows there may be some concern in their mind for you. Not a big deal if you think it from your own point of safety.

More than the safety its about ease of travelling. These countries don't get many tourists because of their draconian laws and unfriendly atmosphere. Why travel to countries where you know you will face such issues? The experience is not worth the inconvenience and hardship you will go through.
