    Hi Chris...I enjoyed your ProCam video. We designed and manufactured the ProCam as a business camera. Rrealtors and Insurance adjustors wanted a wider angle lens and a date stamp. Also, they asked for a robust camera as well as a low profile when closesd. We were able to do it with a small team, ustilizing much of the spectra components. Anyway, your video brought back many great memories. The world is digital now, and everyone takes pictures with the cellphone cameras. We, now digital photographers, should remember to make prints of our good stuff to enjoy all the time. Thank you...A former long time Polaroid guy.

    okay Polaroid has recreated the OneStep designs for modern I-type film but can they redesign the spectra body for the modern age?? how cool would it be to have a modern sleek version of the spectra but it shoots in regular square Polaroid film. Personally I think the spectra and SX-70 designs are the best Polaroid ever made

    My father found his spectra stored away in late 2019 and gave it to me. Bought 3 packs of film for it and used at Disney world the very last day they were open before the world changed because of Covid. Then I found out it was a discontinued film and it’s once again stored away. I remember the film fed perfectly though.

    I bought a spectra 2 at a yard sale, expired film, battery mostly dead, tripod and all. I found a 600 film adapter and i am waiting for batteries, i hope they bring back spectra film so i can experience the true spectra camera experience.

    Nobody uses spectra camera because people want reflex Polaroid;spectra is camera developed in large size;big and bulky,folded flat but film for it not was able to find in store in 80 s 90 s …and also in impossible project time;was always a niche marchet for people that was orfan of similar size instant Kodak film

    Bw spectra film was unusable for terrible problems of fogged picture and internal biadhesive that taken 2 vertical strikes terrible to see;production of it was stopped many times for this reason;the Polaroid originals had short life only 2 years because defects was not solved

    I absolutely adore the Spectra format. I think the cameras are all robust. You're right that the problem was not with the cameras AT ALL, and more that their product was a thicker integral emulsion package. That said...when Fuji killed FP100C, and when I shot my last two shots that I had been saving.....forever.....that killed me. That stock and their BNW were absolutely fantastic. It's one of the best film stocks, full stop, ever made, IMO. The ability to shoot the photo, have the immediacy of the positive, and then go back and pull these huge negatives from them for darkroom printing or scanning, was so frakking cool. It's about the most remarkable film stock ever made, and even its positives were almost always stunning if you knew in what kind of lighting conditions to properly shoot the stock. Truth be told. I want to have my cake and eat it too. I want them both back, but...if you're making me choose....it's pack film all the way.

    I also loved Fuji fp in my pro pack Polaroid cameras and spectra onyx;I hate square format that was thinked for folding flat reflex cameras but not have sense in box camera;the size of spectra more large not was terribly more vs 600 box camera but at time spectra film cost very more until 18 $ vs 12/15 of 600 in the 90 s;nowadays that spectra film was 20$ like 600 the high cost was bw film;600 and spectra bw cost 20 vs old polapan film have half cost vs color film;bw integral film also instax wide film cost more of fp 3000 b and 667

    The close up lens is only souvenir of this camera;the americanino for Polaroid case was in bad condition;I bought used pro cam in 2001 after Polaroid image elite pro/spectra pro used;wide angle effect very limited;4 lens vs 3 of spectra but was able Only to reduce distortion in the wide angle lens;ok date function laser on the photo but ugly design like impulse;nowadays design of both cameras was reevaluated but pro cam has green coating on glass lens vs pink coating;if spectra glass lensed cameras take terrible orange/brown shifted pictures the pro cam take terrible green shifted pictures and soft muted colors;the wiewfinder not is good like impulse cameras or spectra cameras but simply the figure on it was totally always out of focus;ok not has manual focus and sonar make automatic focus but out of focus wiewfinder not have sense;also another friend that had this camera has this wiewfinder;at time I believed that my cameras was faulty but not;nobody bought new spectra camera more ingombrant and that not maked more sharp pictures;at time new camera was 450 $ and whit film and case 500 $ like original new sx 70 manual cameras vs spectra cameras that basic was 200 $ and 360 $ pro version;pro cam was a big flop epic fail second only to Macro slr cameras for dentist and dermatologist;was only Polaroid that disappointed me and that I sold after 3 months;nowadays was wanted because had a power rollers circuit and is only cameras except macro slr that not has eject problem whit impossible project film and Polaroid originals film but whit discontinuation of spectra/image film is a paperweight;is bulky and carry this camera whit adapter to use 600 film not have sense,there are optics of sx 70 s and 680 that has better optics and more rapid shutter;
