I have lived and died to know that all we love we leave behind These undertakings take us far from familiar and comfortable things How much can one heart bear before it tears at the seams? Is this not all we thought it would be? Find your peace in a place unknown, and see the world in shades of monochrome You don't have to walk alone, to know what it feels like when nowhere feels like home Show me your skin, show me the fear inside your bones Cause I've seen a darker side of man than you will ever know When my lungs refuse to breathe, will you replenish the air in me? When my eyes refuse to see what is standing in front of me Find your peace in a place unknown, and see the world in shades of monochrome You don't have to walk alone, to know what it feels like when nowhere feels like home The streetlights sing me to sleep. the company that I keep And all that keeps me sane and whole, will be the death of me Get me out of here Lend me your ear, I'll tell you what you need to know You'll learn to breathe, when life has got its hands around your throat There was a time, there was a place where I could say That I was unafraid of what this meant to me Find your peace in a place unknown, and see the world in shades of monochrome You don't have to walk alone, to know what it feels like when nowhere feels like home

Song has such a solid blend of actual heavy shit, mixed with nu metal vibes that we all remember.
Ever since hearing their record 2 years ago, I fucking knew they would blast off. They are slaying it with this album.

Right it feels so original and fresh.
Showed these dudes to my older brother a few weeks back, he’s an old school post hardcore fan, not a huge fan of many newer heavy bands says they all sound relatively alike with nothing to stand apart form the next and he absolutely loved these dudes! He and I have been counting down the days for this record to drop! Seriously blown away with this band myself. Massive fan of Architects and bands alike, this is one of the most well rounded and written albums I’ve heard in a long long time! Good job dudes keep kicking ass!!!

This sounds like a significantly heavier Alter Bridge, even the solo sounds like something Myles/Tremonti would play, I love it! (To those who know AB, I'm sure most would agree haha)

I'd agree with you... however if you've never heard of Loathe, I'd check out the album they dropped a couple weeks ago: "I Let it in and it Took Everything". I think their album may give Polaris some fits. However I would say this is a close second.

@@aaronrisch6334 I'll be honest I've only listened to maybe 2 loathe songs but its bc I dont really prefer their sound not saying it's not a good sound I just dont jam to em... Daaaam!! That pig squeal in the solo towards the end just... wow. Probably my favourite song off this album because of that.
Upon first listen, this was my favorite song from the album. The Indian-sounding riffs and hard rock guitar solo make this a standout song. That chorus sounds like a Hoobastank chorus, which takes me back! I really love this song!

It’s funny, I’ve seen so many people say Hoobastank and I bet that really pisses the butt hurt fuckers off. The ones that don’t have an open mind enough to enjoy music from the 80’s, 90’s, and early 2000’s. I thought the first 2 Hoobastank albums were very good. The song same direction sounds like it has a big influence in the chorus of this song

Its sharptones "trick up their sleeve" . They use familiar sounds from older popular songs and alter them just slightly creating a nostalgic feel to new songs. It's a pattern I hear in most of my favorite Bands that are with sharptone. I personally think it lacks creativity but it seems to be working for them with the quality they have been helping to put out.
