Polaris Trail Boss 325 rebuild part 1

Ойын-сауық

I purchased this not running ATV that has been sitting for a couple years. I'm going to rebuild top to bottom. Stay tuned for a series of videos rebuilding this beast.

I've got this same quad and I've learned that any polaris project you attempt you'll never be able to sell it for what you put into it. But if you don't plan on selling it then its completely worth the investment.

Watching this video for any useful tips I can find. About to rebuild a 330, with hopes of getting it right the first time. (Shredded the rod bearing, $20 fix for a $3,000 machine.)

I have the same machine got mine for only 400 bucks and it was running great....I'm replacing the chain and both sprockets now, changing all the fluids, but really hope I don't need to get into the engine as far as you did. My only real complaint is I wish it had a front rack so that I could mount a winch. I've gotten stuck several times in deep mud and it sucks walking back to the truck to rescue the TrailBoss

It was nice to see my bike stripped down without actually touching the tools. I do have a little plastic off from a stuck float, we'll see how i do not changing seat.

Awesome video Ground Hog! Love the rebuild and look forward to you finishing your project! Man you got a lot of mechanical know-how! Basically a full mechanical rebuild after you tore into the workings.... still a pretty good deal on the quad!

I cleaned the carb in Awesome, changed the o-ring of the float seat, unscrewed and cleaned the nipples from the tank and changed the fuel lines. My float seats fine with only cleaning it and replacing the o-ring. If I didn't clean the nipples and change the line I would've had same problem shortly. The deteriorating hose had created a tarry substance @ the nipple. To each his own, just saying I dont see a need for a $40 kit when a $3 o-ring was all it needed. $20 for a bowl gasket!!! I put a very conservative amount of black semi soft gasket sealant on the crusty o-ring. Time will tell if that's gonna bite mi in the ass. Happy trails

Paul Yuneps I have actually finished the rebuild and rode it for a while then I sold it. I lost most of the rebuilding videos due to a blown up computer and what little video I recovered wasn’t worth posting.

Wall Fortified. I found most parts on EBay. Most are aftermarket parts but had no problems with them. Also found some just searching the web. Thanks

J S Lawn Service sorry for the late reply I seen this and since then I have ordered tons of after market parts... I juts recently bought this identical one and I don’t understand where that fuel line goes.. it’s the 2 lines that come out of the carb then make a T then go back down... where does this even go? I see it just goes down but I’m not sure if you disconnected it somewhere.

I’m not sure. I never had to go that far into the engine to know how to reset that. Thanks for question though. You might try Googling that question, might get the answer there.
