This album is an absolute masterpiece! One of those albums that need to be played from start to finish in track order. The intro riff to Consume is something else. There are 2 EP's that were released before The Mortal Coil so plenty stuff to check out. Another Aussie band as a suggestion - Coven by Thornhill. Love that song

Frailty is a huuuuuuge track

Lots will recommend songs from mortal coil as that was their big break. In Australia that album was topping charts but I really recommend checking out The Guilt and The grief and dichotomy ep's.

bro. Lucid, and The Slow Decay, and Waves (Martyr) are fantastic stand-outs

The whole album is brutal. Crooked Path, Lucid, Consume, Dusk to day, Relapse are all awesome

If you are going off of old Polaris, Consume. Consume is probably their best song period. It has a lead that never quits, intensity through out, the structure of the song itself is different from 90% of metalcore songs. And the “live” music video is just badass.

You should react to lore of lies by Lorelei it’s a unknown band but I feel like you would love them :)
