I couldn't get the secondary clutch to open, and I didn't want to buy or make a special tool to remove the primary clutch, so thought I'd try to muscle the belt off and on. The only tools I used were plastic trim removal tools I bought from Harbor Freight years ago.

What size of tires are you running sr?
It would have been nice too to see exactly what had to come off, the operative word here being SEE.
they have a tool for opening the big pulley makes hing much easier

Theses clutches don't open up
Really dude its not hard at all-no special tools just squeeze the belt in the middle of the two clutches. The primary on on any polaris never has to come off to take a belt off giving th exception of some youth models.

Why not just spend the 20 bucks on the puller

I have the primary clutch puller, and the secondary doesn't even need one. I just wanted to show that if you're in the field, or have no puller, it can be done.

@@GForce944 this is the way to do it. Never take out the anything that doesnt need to be removed
