Polaris 800 Top End Rebuild!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Here I show how to assemble a Polaris 800 top end! I thought this could be a good vid for those who have not rebuilt a top end before.

    Thanks!! I thought my kit was missing the head gasket. Turns out its just got the outer gland and cylinder Orings. I was thinking it was an actual gasket like the bottom

    How come you guys didn't put the fix kit back on? What pistons did you use?

    Are those spi pistons forged or cast? I just got my spi pistons in and compared to my wiseco forged pistons they are way heavier. Just curious.

    When I bought a new sled it was a 200 mile period of varying throttle and not holding at same speed for long periods of time. I just recently rebuilt a top end and I suggest not really hammering it for the first 3 hours of operation after rebuild. There are plenty of small variations people use. These are the ones that I have personally done.

    On 2015, does Digital Wrench have to be used to finish job? For oil?

    Digital wrench was the equivalent of a ODB scanner for a car. Just relays information on sensors and shows stored codes. I Havnt used/had access to digital wrench since 2012 though.

  • @AKproXR

    @AKproXR

    Because its pointless. only one sled in my group has it and all the sleds without has proven to be just as reliable. Granted we do top end rebuilds as routine maintenance (as should be done) we choose to do them at around 2,000 miles.

Kinda nervous about them now lolol I would've kept it , one less thing to worrie about. It's the shitty oil supply that is the killer on these sleds I read . Alot of them are taken out because of the bad oil cap design

I couldn't believe they didn't rebuild it or test it before that(it was at a Polaris dealership).so just gonna rock the prox2 for another year ...
