Ok this is so weird. My cousin gave me a 1998 magnum 425. It hadn’t ran in 5 years. And I had to go through all the same stuff you did(cleaning the carb, rats nest in the housing, fixing the ignition pickup as well). Unfortunately for me my machine was in much worse shape. But im sure ill enjoy it for years to come.
How much voltage should there be going to the ignition coil from the small wire that connects to the top of it

I had to replace the temp sensor on my because they blew out
It might be the fuel pump because I got one on mine it might be
