Sadly Poland lost, but France played a very good match and win deservedly. The defence and consistent attacks were at highest level - one of the best matches of France for sure. I feel like Poland was too calm and chill at the second set what helped France with comeback and gain confidence. Hope Poland will show better performance at Olympics!

Yes, that's true. The second set was crucial for the final outcome of the match in my opinion. Poland had a comfortable lead and unfortunately let it slip away due to lack of concentration. The French team did play incredibly well. Congrats to them.

Its not that being slightly smaller makes a team bad, people just didn't have the athleticism to take advantage of small bodies in the past.

My prediction came true, France and Japan in finals. It was also France who defeated Poland in the Olympic wherein Poland was Rank 1 in Group A while France ranked 4th in Group B. Almost at 5th place as they tied with USA. Ngapeth is really an MVP. I still hope Japan wins the championship even France is so strong.

Few in the Polish team played below their level (eg. Leon) and had to be replaced. Poland lost concentration in vital moments of the game allowing the French to return to the game. They lack full concentration when leading. It looked like some players believed a set had been won when there’s 3-5 points gap in middle of a set. Poland had match balls but failed to capitalize on few last actions, same throughout the match. France maintained focus in the final phase of the last set and won. There’s about 6-8 teams that present similar level when all players are in good form. The difference between them can be their coaching team.

@@lucian6857 But it's simply incredible how a man enters the game and serves an ace, defends something impossible, and just with his energy brings an incredible benefit, there are almost no weak points in the game, unlike Leon who sometimes squeaks on the reception (I like Leon more than n' gapeth), I haven't seen a player who is so lethal and plays so intelligently, honestly on a world level.

Środkowy Huber był najlepiej punktującym wśród polskich siatkarzy. Dlaczego nie było atakującego i przyjmujących? Kurek co prawda nie grał w tym meczu, ale stawianie na niego w poprzednich wielu meczach i jednocześnie nie pozwalanie na wkomponowanie się w zespół Bołądziowi, czy wcześniej Butrynowi było błędem. Kurek to siatkarz, który nie podlega weryfikacji i choćby zapomniał jak się gra w siatkówkę powielając błędy za błędami, będzie miał w kadrze miejsce zapewnione. I jeśli nawet nie daje do myślenia statystyka z dwóch ostatnich meczów, że brazylijski atakujący zdobył 21 punktów , francuski atakujący jakiś Faure, którego nie znam 20 przy zaledwie 12 Kurka (środkowy Huber zdobył 18!) Grbićowi, to mam prawo sądzić, że w polskiej siatkówce istnieją układy polegające na tym, że pewnym zawodnikom zezwala się na wszystko, a inni nie mają prawa grać w reprezentacji. Wlazły przed laty nie przypadkowo miał zakaz grania w polskiej reprezentacji. To nie był wymysł Anastasiego. To było polecenie wydane przez związek siatkówki ponieważ Wlazły był dla niego niewygodnym zawodnikiem. Tak uważam.

It was more like a tug of war. France defended match point and 12:9 in Tie-Break. Poland even gained more points by one or two overall sooo there was not a clear dominant throughout the whole game.

Mi jeszcze bardziej szkoda Brazylii. Wyglądali w konfrontacji z naszymi najsolidniej i pierwsze 2 sety nie napawały optymizmem. i cała ofiara i odpadnięcie Brazylijczyków w starciu z niby najmocniejszą drużyną, żeby potem ta drużyna mając zwycięstwo w kieszeni się wyluzowała i pozwoliła Francji rozkręcić. Mam nadzieję, żeby wyrabiamy normę wtop na sezon, żeby w Paryżu już ich nie było ;)

This match could go either team. The level of intensity is so high. I thought Poland will win. And should Japan and Poland face in the finals, I fear that Japan will lost. Like last year’s semis. When Poland defeated Japan. But France made an epic comeback. Jenia said France is not yet in their best form coming to Olympics but he hoped that they will encounter so many high level match against any team in VNL.

It's not a world record. The VNL measurements are overestimated by approximately 10 kilometers. Once time they measured 150 km/h for Darlan.

Leon never got into this match to the point he had to be replaced and I suspect it had to do with Janusz choosing to go to the opposite throughout almost all of the first set. It was weird to see that Leon got first set almost at the end of the first set.

Congrats to France team!! But I still proud with my fav team Poland. This match really good. Eventho Poland lose but the points really tight for both team. Anyway, they r human its normal sometime to lose..they still have bronze match n Olympics. So, Poland team dun give up..lets flying high and aim for the best. Good luck n fighting!!!
