Sir, I had a similar experience abt 49 yrs back when I was just 28 yrs old.I had lost my suitcase in Gadag Rly station. I lodged a complaint and proceeded on my journey without expecting anything. After abt one year I rec'd a notice from the court for identifying my belongings. When I went to Gadag one rly police had come to take me. I was expecting that the police was there just to grab as much money from me as possible. To my surprise that constable took me to his house, gave me lunch and then took me to the court as a guide. After completion of all the proceedings he again toot me to his house, gave me evening dinner and saw me off at the Rly station assuring me that I would get my belongings in due time. This was totally a different experience for me who was expecting that police always harass the people. I got my belongings in due course of time.Till date I remember his name . His name was Mr. Rajendra Kulkarni. I never mer him after that incident .
