That connections one is brutal lol
Sorry again for putting Psyshield Bash there, such a goof. I will go easier next time I promise haha
You’re right about the convergent form but I think the players are right about the stomping tantrum one unfortunately. “This ground move gets boosted when clicked twice in a row against this flying type pokemon” would have worked, but the current wording doesn’t communicate that we’re specifically using the move against the flying type pokemon
Didnt feel like explaining tbe categories this time? Pokeconnections is literally impossible besides "number of heads" and six-o you really need to know what the category means.
I thought the mega evolution one was some pokemon becoming heavy enough to be immune to sky drop. Though a quick search shows that all mega pokemon that are too heavy were too heavy before.
the whole convergent pokemon bit was so funny. i was dying when the image came up lmao
Some of these questions are either poorly worded or straight up incorrect. Greavard for example does not learn last respects. Its evolved form Houndstone does. Stomping Tantrum only doubles if your previous move failed, not simply by clicking it consecutively. And I can't believe no one seems to have pointed this out yet, but Mega Rayquaza is NOT immune to weather ball. All Delta Stream does is nullify flying Pokemons' weaknesses other than stealth rock and prevent other weather moves and abilities from taking effect, barring desolate land and primordial sea. Weather ball will still damage Mega Rayquaza, it will just function as a normal type move with 50 base power. And as someone else already pointed out, Mega Gengar doesn't work because it becomes immune to telekinesis AND sky drop.
ayy i don’t need sleep, eu timezone is overrated anyway
Diggersby tho?
this is just too hard to watch, far too chaotic with people talking over each other and next to no information conveyed, just expecting everyone to know what you mean without saying it

Telekinesis lifts the enemy, so a select few mons embedded in the ground are immune. It's a weird mechanic that means Gengar can be put in the air but Mega Gengar can't
So upon researching the final jeopardy question, it's because the design of Mega Gengar's body sinks into the ground.

Love the final jeopardy, I knew this one because I’ve spent way too much time on Bulbapedia
convergent is correct but putting evolution is confusing
to be honest I thought the final jeopardy for the mega evolutions was primal groudon because of will-o-wisp, along with it's ability being able to be cancelled out so it can still be weak to water moves but I'm still unsure if primal reversion is considered mega evolution or not
Ok the word convergent is fine, but evolution is incorrect. It should be convergent Pokemon. The phenomenon of convergent evolution is why the pokemon look similar but are different. You wouldn’t refer to the pokemon itself as a convergent evolution, although you could hypothetically refer to the evolution of a convergent pokemon as a “convergent evolution” but that would be wugtrio, not wiglett. The pokemon changed in similar ways, but that does not make them related by evolution from one to another. There weren’t diglett that became wiglett based on their surroundings. Both species developed in similar ways as it is an effective adaption or evolution for their environment. So to call one an evolution of the other is incorrect.
objection!
ill have you know I hosted a pokemon jeapordy back on pokemon lab in 2010
